I don't use an eye cream on my lids, but have you tried using an eye primer before applying shadow? I have several that I like, but my favorite is the Urban Decay Anti-Aging primer. I really like how it makes the shadow last without feeling too dry.

I like Mac Prep+Prime Eye to make shadows glide on. Just a sheer layer & it makes my lids look smoother & my shadows go on nicely.

I just love Algenist Firming and Lifting Eye Gel all over my eye area with Algenist Reconstructing Serum all over the rest of my face as a primer for my makeup. These formulas make my skin smooth as silk and luminous - even when it's washed off, and all of my makeup glides on effortlessly.
