Mine is a little longer than pixie, but it is still a challenge to get the leave in and everything else just on the ends. It has take me a long time to perfect it so that I don't have to wash my hair every day.

She shorter your hair, the harder it is to just get it on the ends and squeeze it all in.

I have a super short pixie( have since 2005) .I have to wen everyday..BUT it is because of the amount of product I use in my hair .I put the wen styling cream in hair while soaking wet, I then towel dry , spray my beloved Bumble and Bumble thickening spray and then blowdry.I then use a small amt of wen finishing treatment cream to take down any frizz and then a small amount of redken rough clay ( discontinued ) to piece it out and define it .I do this every singel day and the Hair is still very healthy too..There are no hard and fast rules nor right or wrongs here.
