DID YOU LIKE GEORGE CARLIN?

I caught an old performance of his on cable, the other night, and was reminded, again, how much I liked him.

Yes, his language was very strong, and yes he offended some people with some of his beliefs, but, that was pretty much his point.

He used his humor to challenge us, to get our attention and hopefully make us think outside of our comfort zone, our little "box", to maybe question a little bit, some of what we thought and believed.

And he could just be flat out hilarious. He could point out the ridiculousness of some of the most mundane things.

Thanks for making me laugh till i cried again, George! And no, I still don't know who "they" are, so, I try to remember to think for myself, and not pay too much attention to what "they say"!

A comic genius! I guess I must have missed the political parts of his comedy since I have no idea who he supported or maligned.

I too, loved George. I had the chance to see him perform shortly before he passed.

It must have been an "off" night for him (hey, even great comedians can have a bad night!), but hardly anybody laughed during his set.

He was (and always will be) a great comedian!{#emotions_dlg.thumbup}

Was Yuban, then changed to Plaid Pants due to forum upgrade, and apparently, I'm back to being Yuban.
