LOVED the guy!!

One of his performances, he came out on stage and just stood there looking at the audience. Didn't say a word, or change his expression. After about 5 minutes of this, the audience was in hysterics!! He was such a genius.

Loved him. My favorite. I just caught a youtube skit of his about "stuff" last week or so, I was rolling. Especially since I have been on a decluttering kick. So funny.

He was always a big favorite of mine, but I always forget about Youtube so I hadn't seen in a long, long time. Then somebody (sorry, I don't remember who) posted a link to his "stuff" routine in one of the decluttering threads and, OMG, he was so on the money and still very, very relevant. I hadn't laughed at a comedian like that in years. I haven't heard the "7 words" routine in quite a long time, but that was so, so funny in its day.

I loved his routines where he would talk about how baseball and football were different, how we park on a driveway, but drive on a parkway and so on. Yeah, he could make you uncomfortable at times, but those are usually the times when we learn a little something about ourselves. I wish he were still around - can you imagine what he would have to say about the state of America nowadays, no matter what "side" you are on!

We saw him live a number of times. He never disappointed us. He was one of our favorites.
