I always liked him. He was innovative and unique.
One time, about 25 or so years ago, we had tickets to see him and I could just kick myself. We were having a lovely day in our front yard that day. We lived on a street corner in a nice little older residential area. People kept coming by and a party broke out. By the time it would have been time to go I wasn't feeling so good - out in the sun, drinking and partying for several hours - so we didn't go.

Our family loved him! He was a brilliant man.

Yes, his language was very strong, and yes he offended some people with some of his beliefs, but, that was pretty much his point.
He used his humor to challenge us, to get our attention and hopefully make us think outside of our comfort zone, our little "box", to maybe question a little bit, some of what we thought and believed.
And he could just be flat out hilarious. He could point out the ridiculousness of some of the most mundane things.
Thanks for making me laugh till i cried again, George! And no, I still don't know who "they" are, so, I try to remember to think for myself, and not pay too much attention to what "they say"!
Probably my favorite of all time. To top it off I've been told by countless people that I look like George. I will say that others think I look like Willie Nelson.
I too miss George and his off the cuff type of comedy about real things in life put to humor.

George was a total genius. If he had been in any other business I wonder where it would have taken him. I heard he had a very high IQ.
He was way ahead of his time. His humor would probably be more accepted in today's society. But he was COOL with a capital "C" !! One of the funniest men ever ! I still miss him, shame he had to go so prematurely.
Do you still remember all of the "seven" words??????

Loved the Seven Words routine.
I agree, he was a brilliant and wonderfully funny man.
I heard him interviewed once, and he said nobody has to like me or agree with me. But, if I get a few people to really think, even if it makes them totally uncomfortable, then, it's been a good show.
