Army / Navy 2013

It has become a holiday tradition for our family to attend the Army/Navy game.  This is our 3rd year and this time Lauren, Chelsea & Brittany were able to attend.

My brother-in-law, Ricky, is the lacrosse coach for the Naval Academy, so of course we were cheering for Navy but as proud Americans we support all of the branches of the military.  Their commitment and sacrifices for this country should never be overlooked and the sacrifices their families make are equally important.  To them we say thank you.  James organized a fundraiser element this year.  All proceeds benefited T.A.P.S. (an agency that supports the families of fallen military veterans). We raised $700.00! www.TAPS.org

We learned after the first year of attending the game that it is a long day and if you participate in the tailgate you need a place to warm up.  So we rented a RV.  Go Big or Go Home!!

We had a DJ as part of our groups tailgate.  We did the Electric Slide and grabbed people that were walking by joined in.  Everyone had a great time.

This Mid-Shipman was a good sport!

It was a cold day in Philadelphia with snow then sleet then rain.  Ultimately Navy won the game. But in my estimation they are all winners!
