Hi everyone. Well, I'm just plain worn out this winter. The combination of this knee problem, winter itself and the cold and snow at times, making plans and then changing them due to the weather ..... well, I've had it. I saw my Orthopedist Thurs. and he is going to give me a series of 5 shots - 1 a week - of some sort of lubricant/gel type substance as there is so little meniscus left in that knee that what I'm feeling is bone on bone. He believes this will help. I sure hope so .... this morning when I got up I could barely walk it hurt so bad ..... it improved slightly and I took 4 Advil. Walking Molly - actually the steps - is the tough part. I got some wee pads and put one on my deck thinking that would save me a few times out, but no such luck. She had no interest in it and preferred to look out the slats in the deck at the people, cars, etc.

I'm so tired I just want to sleep ..... combination of winter and feeling done in with this knee.

Anyone who has had these shots, please let me know what your experience is. How quickly do they work? Will I notice improvement after the first one? If he told me the name of the substance I missed it .... do you know? I've had cortisone shots so I know what they're like ..... are these shots more painful?

Thanks so much everyone for listening.
