I jsut received an odd email from a doctor I never heard of in Hong Kong who  has something to do with cancer research and stem cells. I googled him and it sounds legit. Of course, I deleted it, but still curious why I got that email.

You got the e-mail because you have ever for any reason been on the internet and foreign countries hack USA accounts and agencies and companies 24/7 every moment of the year.  Be careful.

It's spam and you should mark it that way.

@catter70 It's very possible the man used an incorrect email address.  If just one character is off, it can go to the wrong person.  I've often wondered how often that happens.

Thanks, everyone. I just deleted it, but I must say I was curious.

I worked for a company with 150,000 employees...and there was another employee with my same name...in Stuttgart.   (I don't speak German.)

Yup...we had the same company email address.   (IT fixed it, tho.)
