I have a dear friend whose 28 year old daughter was diagnosed with M.S. about 3-4 years ago. She has never gone into remission .... she has good days and bad days. She gives herself a shot every day, and I'm not sure what else she does for it. Her disease has continued to worsen ..... now she has blurring in one eye, there are more lesions on her brain, she's constantly tired, and has days where she can hardly get out of bed. She goes to Johns Hopkins so I know she's getting excellent care. It just seems like her disease is advancing at an alarming rate - there's been no remission as far as I know. She is an R.N. and it has really interfered with her work, as you can imagine. She is also struggling with a thyroid and other hormone problems which they cannot seem to get stabilized.

Can any of you familiar with this disease offer any insight to me? I've read a lot about it but I think some information from someone who lives with this, or knows a lot about it, could be helpful to me in understanding it and if this is truly moving more rapidly than usual.
