Tomorrow is my bi yearly lung scan. I have COPD and a mass in my left lung that has been shrinking since detected almost 4 years ago. As usual, I'm scared of what the results may be. I feel a bit like my health is starting to go south. I'd appreciate your prayers for a good outcome. Thanks to you, all.

Best of luck to you!

It sounds promising that the mass has been shrinking! Do you have an idea why?  Do you think maybe you are doing something different?

@haddon9 , all I know is about 4 years ago the mass was picked up by a lung scan that I have 2 times a year. I was sent for a pet scan which turned out okay. Dr. says it could be scar tissue from undiagnosed pneumonia or bronchitis. I was a heavy smoker for many years, hence the COPD and quit 14 years ago, but it wasn't in time. You just never know what might show up. Anyhow, it always a worry that kinda never goes away.

I go for my yearly scan at the end of August. I was diagnosed with non small cell lung cancer in 2014 and underwent resection of the upper two lobes of my right lung.  I still dread those CT scans, 11 years later. I try to encourage mysellf not to worry until the scans show more cancer but it's difficult not to fear a bad result.

I will certainly pray for a clean scan and good health for you.  Remember that you are not ever alone.
