I never did it and I've done everything.  It's really just reducing your calories except instead of doing 1200 calories for 7 days, you do  something like 1700 one day and 500 the next day and so on and so forth.  Or you do 3 days at 1800 followed my 2 days at 600 calories.  There are many variations but at the end of a week, you are still taking in 8400 calories.  Same as that 1200 calories a day.  I don't think a nibbler could get through the fasting days and you still have to eat a low fat, low carb on all your days.  I'm sure it works for those who can take the fasting days.  Not many can.

I'm an experienced Intermittent faster & I strongly disagree with your suggestion that IF is simply low calorie. It is very different than low calorie.

IF done correctly offers many health benefits and fat loss is just one of them. Most people find fasting very easy, much easier than low calorie ever dreamed of being.

IF is actually the way humans were meant to eat. Eating all day long is not good for us even if calories are low and/or the food is healthy.

Sorry, I thought a board like this was about communication and discussion.  You should have told me what you wanted me to say or you should have said.  No opinions please!!!   LOL

Don't apologize if that is your opinion. But, if you are going to voice your opinion, you should accept that others may not agree with it and that they may have facts behind what they say. Don't take it personally; it isn't an attack on you.

There was a time when I believed fasting was very unhealthy. And a time when I ate 6 mini meals per day because I'd been told it was healthy. Times sure have changed. I read the research and then read more. I am always open to change and this was a big one!

When you get a chance look up Dr. Eric Berg on Youtube.  He is a big proponent of IF and the Ketogenic way of eating.  He has an incredible of amount of information on his youtube channel that lets you ease into IF.  I personally have lost 25 lbs since June by adjusting my eating window to occur  from 1:00 PM - 8:00PM.
