Had flu and Covid shots on the same day in different arms.  Sore arms and a little chill for a day.  No big reaction.

@Drlinda  How many Covid boosters have you had? I had my third one in July.... I never heard about having four....so was not planing on getting boosted again for Covid.

Does any one here know what is the game plane for Covid boosters? How many?

The newest 'booster' this season is the bivalent, which includes variants.  I don't think there is an overall recommendation for everyone anymore.  It depends more on your own health situation and the virus prevalence in your area.  They say you can get the bivalent booster if you haven't had any boosters for two months or longer.

I had the two original vaccines and one booster last year.  I'm scheduled for the bivalent booster next week.

Oh, Dang!!  @SeaMaiden, now I remember I meant to ask for the regular flu shot.  I don't know which one I got now.  (My mother used to get sick with the senior shot so I just never got it).  I'm visibly a senior, though.  Got my flu shot this morning and I feel fine.  If it's not specified on my medical portal, guess I'll never know.

According to the CDC "As long as people have received the first two shots, it has been at least two months since their last dose and they are aged 12 or older, they are eligible for the new updated booster dose. Officials are hoping that enough people get the updated booster to provide protection against another wave this fall and winter as the weather gets colder.  "

From what I've read, the thinking for Covoid shots going forward is to go to an annual shot, much like the flu shots. The idea is to offer shots that will keep people from getting very sick w/ new seasonal strain(s) that develop.

People are going to do what people do. We've decided to go the prevention route for flu/covoid. Most all of our relatives are doing the same this October/November time frame.

I'm getting very leery, being a senior of 73, living alone, of all these recommended vaccines and boosters. My gut tells me there is not enough science to tell us the ramifications going down the road of unforeseen complications.

All I see here are the immediate reactions, which seem not too bad.

I am not seeing much concern for the elderly developing complications long term.

After the first two Covid shots I developed nasty vertigo for several months. I live having to go up and down 17 steep stairs to access my living area. You can imagine the discomfort and danger.

Vaccines? I am in serious doubt for the aged. My next door neighbor has been vaxxed and double boosted and is showing recent escalation of dementia symptoms.

We plan to get our flu shots next week and the Covid vaccine the week after.

My arm gets too sore to get them at the same time. 😢

This is my 4th Covid Moderna shot with the upgraded omecron variant protection.  Had my 3rd shot last November, so I was due a booster.

I plan on getting a flu shot sometime this month. Vax shot? The 2nd shot pretty much changed the present, and future of my life. Another one? Just might end it!

i'm going to pass on the covid booster. i'm not trusting the "science" that is coming out about the whole vaccine history and future.
