Does anyone have this and does it help you lose weight in the stomach area? I just watched the video for it and ordered one. Thanks for any replies.

For me that type exercise would help with my legs the most. It would not do much for me for my stomach area IMO.
I have a Proform Hybrid Trainer & using it never helped my stomach.
I have had better luck with weight loss in my stomach using my Pilates chair, walking at least 4 miles 6 days per wk. plus watching what I'm eating.

If you want something to keep your legs moving while sitting down, ok. There is no such thing as "area specific fat removal", unless you are talking about Surgical Removal.
Body fat is generally lost first, from the last place on ones ones it landed. Sure, you can make your waist smaller, but using only your legs in a "non-weight bearing exercise", will do little, if any to reduce your stomach size. If it keeps you doing this in lieu of eating? That's a good thing.
No way I would spend $200 bucks for any machine that resembles this one. Spend your money on a good pair of walking shoes (assuming you have no medical reasons not to), and walk away. That will do more for your Abdominal Muscles than this machine.

Only way to do that is to change diet and move your entire body

It might help tighten up your abs somewhat. But I don't think it will make you lose weight in the stomach area alone. Weight loss (fat loss) is something that happens all over your body and you do not have control over where the fat is lost. You can make your body smaller by tightening your muscles with exercise and by losing the fat.

I am somone who cannot exercize other than walking but I cannot walk any distance that would actually help much so this cubbi is good for me to prevent blood clots and keep my circulation going . I know walking is best but I have so many issues that it is not possible so this is a coice that I would make because I am housebound and it helps me , I know its not going to make an exercize Queen but it is okay with my doctors so its better than no exercize which is my alternative. It also makes me feel better . I donot have high cholesterol or high triglycerides even though I have weight problem so just that little increase in circulation makes me feel better mentally and prevents clots.

@twinkies That's great you are using something like this. It's available for people that have a hard time getting around or just want to exercise while they are sitting. It's better then doing nothing. You could also try one of those stretchy type bands for your upper body while you are sitting.
Your right you need something to keep your circulation going & the movement does make you feel better.

Have you had blood clots, and if so where and what was the cause? As one that has had 2 different episodes of Lung Blood Clots(PE), and spent 8 hospital days on Hephrine in 1 visit, and over 9 days, of the same, for the same reason. We narrowed down the cause(myself and my Pulmonologist), and I was on Coumadin/Warfarin for over 7 years.
Any movement is certainly better than none and I am happy to hear this machine is working for you. I too have been limited many long term times over the decades. Those were caused by Injuries/Near death experiences/and many necessary surgeries. Not easy times for me, but I eventually recovered from all of them.
I just wanted to mention in my previous post that what the author of this thread was looking for is not even a good way, or the cheapest, to accomplish her goal of reducing the size of her stomach. High resistance leg exercises can activate the Abdominal(core muscles), but doing just low, or no resistance, leg movements does little for that purpose.
My best to you and keep up your moving,

Thank you for your suggestion .I really cannot use stretchy bands because I need shoulder replacemnts. My knees are also bad and need replacements I.have severe digeneration of the spine and so many health isuues that I would rather not list them . I have psoriatic arthritis ,[r.a] ,Mixed connective tissue disease-lupus and sjogrens.I have had severe arthritis since I was 38 and am now 68. I am avoiding surgery because it causes big flares in my diseases. I was on so many different meds over the years. I was on methotrexate for 7 or 8 years and enbrel for 12 years , I have been on remicade for at least 4 years [it is really helping] The rest of the time I was on variuos combinations of medication but that was yaers ago and they did not supress my arthritic conditions but there weren't as many new drugs back then so I had to do with what was available .I did agree to hip replacements 3 because I could not walk anymore . Now I can . So I have experienced the highs and lows of these disease. You just need to keep a positive attitude which is sometimes difficult .in order to keep going.,,,,,,,I say I am still on the right side of the dirt,.

Fortunately I have not experienced clots but I know it is a danger to people who do not move . I try to get around but do sit a great deal . My doctor said to do "what I can and not push it because I have cardiac issues I am lucky because I do not have high cholesterol and sdo not have to take statins even though I have weight issues , I take several supplements which I do believe help . I take 1000 mg , of pumpkin seed oil two times a day and have for years. It controls cholesterol ,blood sugar and inflammation in the body.
I have my own agenda anyway. I listen to the doctors but ultimately I am driving the bus so thats what I do . Many anti inflammatories [like mobic -which I have been on forever and plaquenil do]thin the blood so I must be careful both ways . I go to hospital in Boston and have for 30 years . I am one of their bad arthritis cases but I am getting better so You have to keep looking forward , I am lucky . I have read all your issues and feel bad for what you have been through .I also take beta carotene for my intestine. It heals the lining of the lungs and intestines and you can't really overdose on it like Vitamin A because Vitamin A is stored in the body and beta carotene is not , Any extra passes out thrugh your urine. You have been through so many tough issues , I commend you on your attitude and your courage. Staying alive Is tha goal and quality of life is too.I know that sometimes my doctors just say to me . If it ain't broke Cathy leave it alone . Keep on looking forward , Bless you.You are a trooper and you are one to be admired for your tenacity..
