Re: does anyone use a rebounder?

Just as you plan -- I use my rebounder when I don't go to the gym or ride my bike. I use it more in winter or cold months. I like it.

Re: does anyone use a rebounder?

AprilFlowers - Thanks! I still can't believe all the positive changes that continue to happen the more I use my rebounder. The bellicon is very expensive and it took going through four other rebounders over many years for me to decide that I'd earned it...but it is so worth it. That said, the jumpsport is great, too! When I went from my urban rebounder to the jumpsport, the difference was night and day.

SWII - I had an urban rebounder that I used for years, but only for specific workouts. When I decided to set it up in front of the tv and use it for extended periods of time...that's when I realized that it was causing aches and pains. I think it is good for specific workouts but not for duration. The difference you feel all over your body when you switch from springs to bungee rebounding is just incredible...but it is impossible to describe to someone. They have to feel it for themselves.

As to form - just make sure you have a slight bend in the knees when you land and you tighten your abs throughout.

Re: does anyone use a rebounder?

I have a Needak Rebounder and I love it. I use it almost every day. I tried the rebounder feature on the Pilates machine and didn't like it at all.

And I love that the Needak Rebounder is made in the good old USA!!!

Re: does anyone use a rebounder?

Needak is a very good rebounder, too. I just prefer the soft bounce of the bungee style, but needak is certainly top of the line for springs.

Re: does anyone use a rebounder?

My 44 inch Bellicon arrived yesterday. I also have a Cellercizer and a spring Bellicon. After bouncing on the new one for a few minutes I thought, it's very nice. But I didn't appreciate how much nicer until I used the spring rebounder! The difference between the bungees and the springs is amazing. Before the new one arrived I was thinking I would keep one of the spring rebounders as a backup. Now I don't think I ever want to get on one of the spring ones again. It is totally quiet which is great also!

Re: does anyone use a rebounder?

I have found a good video on youtube by Truly Heal. The title is something like cancer is reversible. I don't know how to link from my ipad. I was only able to do part 1 with modifications but this looks like a good workout albeit a little advanced. You definitely need some balance. I am going to make this my goal. I know this thread is probably dead but thought I would come and share.

Re: does anyone use a rebounder?

I just donated my NordicTrack rebounder to Goodwill, now I'm kind of wishing I had kept it! I walk every day outside for exercise and got tired of it taking up space in the house.
