Glad you are ok. I hope you find answers & solutions to the things you need to work out at work. Just keep telling yourself you can retire soon. I know my sis is counting the days until her retirement next year.

Re: did they poof the thread about the person who "" just wanted to die""?

Thank you all so much for your concern, that really means a lot to me. Yes, I just have to get myself in the mindset that I can get through this. I have been away from that office for 10 years, at one of our sub-offices, and then went back to the main office for a few months and then went to another position, at another sub-office, for four years and was working with just a few of the people from our office. Well now I am back to the main office and some of the people that I was friends with have retired and there are new and younger people there and they just are not friendly at all. It is hard to go to work and not interact and be pleasant with people. You just feel better getting along with everyone and sometimes even having some fun. Not there anymore! Oh well, I am sorry if I upset anyone with my post, but I really was hoping for some good ideas to just help me through a very rough time. I'm glad that I have some nice and caring people that I can come to though, I always enjoy reading these boards for helpful information and good recipes! Thank you! Smile

I'm glad you came back to respond SNOWDAY. Just remember....all you have to do is keep smiling at work and everything else will fall into place. One day at a time, one foot in front of the other. The year will go by very quickly, then you can retire and do whatever you like to do. It's something wonderful to look forward to!

I can totally relate to the job thing. About ten years ago we had a major change at our work. We got a new head guy at the office. Things got so rigid and my department turned into a gossip factory. Long story is I have a disability. I got sick unrelated to my disability and it gave me an out to get out. Hang in there.

(((SNOWDAY))) I'm so sorry the thread is gone and you didn't get to see all the wonderful posts but I'm glad you returned to "talk" with us. I hope you'll take a look a the thread here in Heath & Fitness called "Depression" because it's a place to read and share when and if you feel like it.

Re: did they poof the thread about the person who "" just wanted to die""?

SNOWDAY!

I'm so happy to see that you found this thread and hope that you were able to jot down or save some of the posts from your original thread. Right now I'm doing that for my husband on the Psoraisis thread. When I get these great responses I highlight the response, hit CTRL C, then bring up Word and hit CTRL V and I can save all of the wonderful responses.

Anyway, hope you were able to read the response from the physician who responded. That and many othes were chock full of great suggestions for you.

One thing you might do at work, if you're in a situation where you have a desk, is to make your desk "your world." Bring some great photos, souvenirs, meaningful nick-knacks and perhaps some meaningful phrases that you can change out each day. I just had to do that my last year at work as I was cursed with a boss change and this guy was a micromanager. If there's one thing I can't stand it's micromanagers. So, I had to surround myself with stuff I loved. You would not believe what my office looked like!!! I got so many comments from my docs. It actually turned out to be great.

God bless you as you work toward retirement. I know you can do it. If you are one to pray, then I'd suggest praying a lot. If not, then definitely meditation, of which there are many meditation CDs out there.
