This could isolate both you and your daughter.  Can your daughter receive Special Ed. services from the school system?  My best.

this is very isolating for both of us. She is out of school and is no longer able to work.

Lilac. Aka Ford...I have personally lived with this disorder...my oldest dd has it and bipolar. She is very stable , has an excellent job, a beautiful 11 year old daughter because of good therapy and a caring psychiatrist.

That's wonderful news.  As with all diseases and conditions they can range from mild to moderate to severe.  The two I knew were both in the severe categories.

I am so happy for you and your daughter and granddaughter that your daughter is doing so well.  That is a true blessing.

Re: borderline personality disorder

@stargazergal thank you for your words of encouragement, it means a lot. A very good friend of mine also mentioned Dr.Phil and the resources that he has. Honestly, it is too much for me to think about right now, maybe when things subside alittle.

Re: borderline personality disorder

I hope you will seriously consider getting in touch, I have seen people on his show with chemical imbalances in their brain.   Dr. Phil is in touch with people that specialize in such imbalances.   There is help and there is hope.  I hope you will consider reaching out and telling him of your plight.  Not just for your family member but for YOU !   Thank you for your reply..... I am thinking of you and wish all of you the very best !
