I have hepititis and a week or so ago, I had a scan on my liver region. Got a call from my doctor and said they found...something...and wants to talk over with me what we're going to do about it.
OF COURSE she couldn't give me so much as a hint so I got to stew and worry about it till I can get in to see her...which is today.
WHY do doctors do this?

Ask for the radiologist's report @GoneButNotForgotten . See immediately the recommendations.
Some doctors have no bedside manner. They don't have a clue. Prayers that all goes well today.![]()

SOP. And IMO and my experience appropriate "bedside manner". If you had a incurable disease would you want to be told that over the phone by your Dr.? Not me.
Hepatitis is serious. The Dr. probably wants to give you any bad news about your liver and what treatment options you have, in person. And not by discussing with you over the phone.

To answer your question. Your doctor did this, not my doctors. I have had more procedures done, serious ones even cancer, and i have had to wait for results. I haven't found anyone in my orbit that says, "that worrying really helped me".
Been saying this on this forum for many, many years now, worrying changes nothing. The results are what they are, and the majority of the time they are not a death sentence.
Most here in this forum have probably waited for results, and/ or a future visit with their doctor(s) to get them, I certainly have.
My hope is this "something" the scan showed is nothing serious. I wish you the best news possible from your doctor, as do all the others that have read this.
