Why is QVC so homophobic?

I am just wondering why anytime ANYONE mentions that anyone has an alternative lifestyle the QVC board monitors poof the comment away. It is 2012. There is a growing number of persons with alternative lifestyles evreywhere, in every aspect of society. So why when we are telling kids that it really is okay to feel differently about who they want in their lives does QVC see the need to keep it under the carpet?
