Talented, didn't need to cheat. Not convinced they did it to get a leg up on the other team. I think Brady likes his footballs a certain way and they accommodated him. I'm sure the equipment staff followed orders. Kind of like diva singers that demand extra stuff. Brady wanted his football to feel comfortable in his hand. Against the rules but thought they'd never get caught or if they did would let the diva have his way.

Yes, actually it was. Ravens claimed that 1 kicking football (separate from offensive footballs) was "under-inflated", thus making it much more difficult to kick. Really a bunch of bologna considering defensive teams (QB & kicker) choose their own footballs to use.

Yes the patriots were destined to handily win that game, no doubt, which is why its so puzzling that they would resort to deflating balls. Its curious to be sure and so unfortunate because it does tarnish their season.

Sounds suspicious to me Ravens have a bitter loss and tip off Colts but they don't act until Brady gets intercepted and they are so far behind, impossible win except by default? Won't happen....Andy Luck had a $25 million dollar contract riding on this....more than Brady's salary...Brady is a class act and has it all; he loves the game and would not risk his legacy. Coach B's spying charge was what many coaches attempt and some even hire lip readers; he got caught... Brady? Nixon? Nixon admitted to guilt and Brady stated he was innocent. By today's standards, Nixon's crime was trivial. People bet tremendous amounts of money on these games...once Brady handed over those balls, he had no opportunity to touch a ball...why would he want to? He is talented and the best since Montana...Go Tom! go Pats!

I cannot believe some of the ill-informed attacks against the Patriots I'm reading here. First of all, the legendary Spygate happened more than 7 years ago. There has been nothing since, but somehow the Pats are constantly accused of having a "history of cheating." And, in fact, multiple coaches and other pundits have come out repeatedly over the years and said that other teams have done that and worse but just never got caught. Secondly, other teams have had plenty of infractions but those seem to be forgotten with time; only the Patriots never seem to run the statute of limitations. What about the PED scandal with the Seahawks. Never heard about it? I'm not surprised. It's not the Pats, so it's forgive and forget. Lastly, deflated footballs is considered a minor infraction by the NFL, hence the $25,000 fine which is pocket change for these teams, and NO ONE has proven that the Pats intentionally did this. Guilty until proven innocent? Of course! It's the Pats. I don't care if you don't like them. I don't care if you want them to lose the Super Bowl. But they deserve to be there.

Well said Flyer! Sour grapes! Brady would have whipped the Colts playing with a marshmallow or a bowling ball. Let's not forget domestic violence & drug charges against a number of players; Brady has always been squeaky clean; sounds kinda minor, deflated game ball even if it were true which it is not; what would be the motive? Money, I sincerely think not...they were going to win anyway so it wasn't about going to the SB; been there done that!.....Go Pats!
