I've been reading about the different types this year. Just wondering what you are getting? By age or by type of vaccine?
Interesting topic!

The standard flu shot. Employer provided at my office. No variations were offered. Boss was unable to get his shot. The company changed flu shot providers we had in the past - who used to bring a couple of the variations for those with allergies. No ultra shot for over 65 ever provided. But they come here and it's free - no gripes on my part.

We got ours just yesterday and we got the senior higher dose shot. This is the same one we got last year.

We always get the seniors shot. It is a heavier dose of vaccine

None!
Never had the flu. I live in a 55+ community. When flu season hits in my neck of the woods, out comes my face mask.
I don't fix what ain't broken.

I think it's very confusing about the different kinds of flu vaccines available right now. For seniors there are two different kinds:
https://www.cdc.gov/flu/about/disease/65over.htm
That publcation explains the two but still confusing to me.
Then the other vaccines for under age 65 gets even more complicated. Just look at how many different ones are out there:

I'm 63 and I got one of the quad shots. But I never asked who the manufacturer was.

This will be the 17th year I have NOT gotten the flu shot. I have several friends who get the shot every year and get sick each year after getting the shot.
One of my bosses is afraid NOT to get it because of all the advertising about what will happen if you don't. So, each year she comes over to my desk and tells me she got the shot and says, "Yes, I know what you are going to say, that I will get the flu," and she is right....I say that....and she always gets the flu!

I will get whatever my doctor suggests. I am a senior. You need to have your flu shot by Oct. 31, 2018.
