What's the difference?

I am taking DH to the VA Hospital tomorrow for a cat scan and an MRI. The imaging department just called and said the MRI was cancelled because the Dr. said it was not necessary? Just wondering why they would do that at the last minute when it took so long to get the MRI scheduled? I know I am just venting, as we will find out tomorrow when we go for the ct scan.
