@goldensrbest

“What if” is a pointless question that serves no useful purpose. It is only likely to cause additional anxiety to already anxious people.

Thousands of people die from influenza each year.  Where's the panic for that?  Relax.

@goldensrbest   What if the sky falls?  Imaginative speculation serves no purpose.  Now go take that dog for a walk and get your mind on something else.

I'm sick of hearing about it.  It's causing too much anxiety to everyone.  I feel it was already here before we knew about it.  We will do what everyone else does and try to handle it ... that's all you can do.  Hiding and worrying is useless energy.

Why speculate??????  To cause more anxiety?

There's been a lot of

 "What if" here already.

Anticipation and making common sense contingency plans is responsible and useful....within limits.

You could just as easily slide over to the more extreme possibilities, and ask what if an asteroid collides with the earth tomorrow and makes all this virus prep moot?

Good grief.  What's useful about piling on to shame someone who is afraid? What point is there to that?

And what point is there to ignoring and laughing at the prospect that it could happen?  Is there any point to either way of thinking?

Don't panic, but don't stick your head in the sand either.

Sorry if I am missing something here.  I get tired of hearing about the tornadoes headed my way in the spring too but I pay close attention, have the storm cellar cleaned and stocked too.
