Re: What alternative things do you take and do instead of statins?

@CelticCrafter

That is about where mine is.  I guess it's not really bad but I don't want it to get any worse.  I am sorry about hour husband and I hope you can get it straightened out.  This is exactly why -- things like this -- that I DON'T want to go on statins again!  Thanks!

Same here. I just saw my Dr. again yesterday and although she was not forcing me -- she couldn't - she wasn't really happy with me either.  I am going to try but it's hard.  I am a sugar junkie!  Thanks!

I don't eat a lot of cheese --- although I love it --- as it binds me.  Oh, for the good old days when a person could eat whatever they wanted and no consequences!  I am going to try and be a better eater ---- oh, boy --- it's hard!  Thanks!

I know what you mean!  I have 2 different kinds of tendonitis in both ankles and have been suffering with a bad back issue for the past couple of months.  I try to walk as much and when I can.  I also have pretty bad arthritis, osto and fibro, etc., etc.  Some days I think --- really??  I can hardly get out of bed.  All we can do is try and try again!

Acccck, I feel for you!  A couple years ago I was on a statin --- can't remember the name of it.  I was in such horrible pain in both legs and arms, I couldn't stand it!  I couldn't even lift a coffee cup.  Thankfully, after awhile, the pain subsided.  I know somebody that this happened to and they never regained their strength in their legs and are still in pain years after they stopped taking a statin.  I think a lot of the medical profession doesn't want to acknowledge that a person's pain issues are because by a medication.
