Re: Welcome to the September Exercise Thread

nomless!  So exciting reading about your interview!  Sending prayers, I know how competitive some of these jobs can be.  Keep us posted!  We have things we can't leave out either, although Kat was much worse about that stuff...never saw a vase of flowers she could refuse. Smiley Tongue

Laura...I forgot to tell you it sounds like our gym may be doing the same thing with the classes.  So far nothing has happened but I guess they're talking about switching things up...people are not happy.

MickD...I'm a little disappointed I don't have time now to use my pilates reformer as much.  I can't do everything, and doing somehting just here and there isn't going to cut it.  They were even saying with yoga...it's something you need to practice every day if you want to get good at it.  I need to decide what I want to focus on right now.  I'm a Viking fan too...and Packers...lol.  Born in MN, raised in WI.

bopper...and I'd let you tend to Lucy wihtout a second thought!  I almost bought an apple-cider candle yesterday at Marshall's but went with another one.  I shouldn't use any, bothers my allergies.

Yesterday's yoga class wasn't solid yoga, it was a combination of Tai Chi(only the warm-up), Yogo, and Pilates so I didn't do Barre.  I ran on the treadmill and did some weights and TRX instead.  DH and I did yoga last night, I bought him a mat yesterday!

He fought it but after we were finished he admitted he felt more relaxed...he had a tough day given the nature of his job.  And he's flying out again today...ugh.  Tired of the packing an unpacking.  He can go for 2 days and need 5 outfits(including uniforms) depending upon the itinerary.

p.s.  DS's class went well, I guess he didn't cough up a lung during it and that was his goal...lol!

Re: Welcome to the September Exercise Thread

Morning, it's sunny and 60's here so quite beautiful.   I did treadmill intervals and TG, alternating upper and lower and abs.   Dog walk later today after my hair appt.

Nomless saying prayers your interview is good, I'm excited for you.  It's what you've been wanting, hopefully this is your time!

Lions fan here, I know I told you already and they blew it with penalties.  I'm still in baseball mode as we work towards the wild card for my Tigers who are not doing to well right now.

CANDLEQUEEN are you still with us?   Hoping your weeks is good!

Laura On TG Lon the male model uses it when its preseneted and he's over 6 feet..I think it can be for tall people.

MickD are you doing Okay?

Ok I gotta get showered.  Have a great day!

Re: Welcome to the September Exercise Thread

@bopper - I really needed a good run today, but didn't want to exacerbate the sciatica so I did Total Gym.

Re: Welcome to the September Exercise Thread

Hi, kids. I hope you're having a good day.

I intended to do a workout today,  but it didn't happen. I did laundry this morning and changed sheets,  then realized I'm really tired because I didn't sleep last night.  I haven't had a rest day recently so today became one.

I started making notes about things I want to mention during my interview. 😊

It's going to be hot here for a while. I'm so tired of it.

Re: Welcome to the September Exercise Thread

Morning, I have to head to the grocery store this morning, and I didn't sleep good so I was up at 4, but laid there until 6.   Bedroom too hot for me and hubby hates fans, the window was open but there wasn't any wind.  He's alwasy cold and thought it was fine but I was way too hot.  It's 60 here now and that's warm for us this time of year.

I plan on doing TG today and walking Logan, but I don't have anything else really planned.

Nomless I bet your mind is spinning about the interview.  I pray it goes well for you!

Mick D sciatica is very painful.  My hubby has it 24/7 and the car is the worst for him.  I hope your feeling better.

Iluvlucy I know your up at at em this morning!  Hoping DS is feeling better and DH, and you and Lucy.   I think everyone is tired of the humidity and heat....I'm trying to keep that in perspective as I hear Winter is going to be bad this year but we'll get through it, we always do!

Have a good day everyone!

Re: Welcome to the September Exercise Thread

Laura...does the "owwwwwww" mean you are sore??

MickD....were you able to run today?

nomless....can't wait to hear how it all plays out!!

bopper...me too...up at 3, thought it was 5 I was so wide awake.  Have the hives again and my eyes were about swollen shut this morning.  But...DS is finally doing better today...he said "For real" this time...ay. Smiley Tongue  But so relieved, felt my body deflate.

DH's flight has already been delayed.  He had a horrible night...pipe burst at hotel and flooded his room...no ohter rooms, had to switch hotels...it was a dump...missed his dinner soiree...no restaurants open so had a beef jerkey stick and an apple.  Now he might have a long evening trying to get home.

Good work-out today...did legs in the weight-room then went to the CF room and hit it...then ran on the treadmill for my cool-down and to stretch my legs out.  Slammed the sledge-hammer down on my big toe...tried to play it cool but not sure why as I was the only one in the room...hahaha!  It looked like I did it on purpose too...my nail is still sore.

Just got back with Lucy, still pretty warm out.  We ran this morning and she chewed out every single person she saw...lol...not sure what was up with that but if they talked to her it was worse!

Judy...you home??

Re: Welcome to the September Exercise Thread

@Iluvlucy - great that your DS is doing better! Sorry about your DH's travel woes....hives again....oh no!  Can you take Benadryl??  No running today....its been about two weeks...I can feel a double chin coming on!!!!

Did Pilates and the rebounder.  I lowered the level on the upper workout on TG yesterday, so, I am not sore today...I'll keep it that way for awhile...I just can't have sciatica and other body aches going on at the same time!

Really humid here.  It rained yesterday and this am it was 98% humidity which is rare...just need some cool weather.  Taking my teen son to dinner at a great restaurant on the ocean.  Fisherman's.  There are two restaurants that anchor a pier. One side is a little dressier more fine dining and the other is like a hole in the wall...we're going to the hole!!  They have great salads and the boy likes chicken wings....

Re: Welcome to the September Exercise Thread

@Iluvlucy  You know, if your family didn't have bad luck, they would have no luck at all.   I can't believe your poor DH.  Smiley Sad

Yes, I upped my weight like a crazy person and I finally have soreness.  Obviously I wasn't working out hard enough.  I think I'm shy after being so injured earlier this year.  I'm back at it tomorrow so we'll see about round two.  I'm getting back into it hard core!

Re: Welcome to the September Exercise Thread

Bopper, I went to the store today.....I wish I had thought of getting apples for applesauce. Next time.

Lucy, so sorry DH had a bad night. Not fun.

Mick, the restaurant sounds wonderful. Although fine dining has its place, hole in the wall places are more fun. Have a good time.

Laura, good job increasing the weights. Now, be sure to rest the muscles a day. They need time to heal.

I did cardio today. The workout room was really warm. I'm drinking lots of water now to replace fluid.
