@Mmsfoxxie, I hope you feel better. Inner ear problems that make you feel dizzy are so awful to suffer through. Best wishes.
Mick, I hope DS is better. It sounds like a difficult schedule for him.
Hey, Laura, how ya doin'?
Hi, Bopper, I hope things are ok there wirhDD and Logan.
Day off today, so I did a bunch of errands and quite a bit of walking. I can tell my legs are lots stronger. Gosh, two weeks at the lib have done more for my leg strength than years of walking, biking and squats. Go figure. A woman at work mentioned gel insoles helped her a lot so I got some to try. I wore different shoes Mon and Tues, and now my heel hurts in addition to the gap of my foot. Yikes. I hope I find a magic combination of shoes and insoles that does the trick. Now, laundry. I got a new soft warm robe at Kohl's and want to cuddle in it. Even though it's gorgeous and warm here, nearly 70 degrees. Unheard of for mid-November. Love it!

Oh, yes, shoes do matter...a lot. My foot has changed size as I've gotten older. Wider now but a wide shoe is usually too wide. So I still get medium but with a wide toe box area.
I'm having a beautiful day today ladies. I hope you are as well. Tomorrow we are driving out of town for a funeral so I'll be MIA for a couple of days but I wish you all health and happiness.

Hi all, it's another above day here and I am thankful! We're at 55, and I wish the whole winter would stay like this but reality is setting in Friday night into Saturday and Sunday. They are saying Winter storm, not sure how much we'll get it kind of depends on the winds and the lake....
Nomless I love a new cozy robe, pj's are awesome when they are new also. Did you see Cuddleduds has a PJ TSV coming?
Mmsfoxxie glad your having a lovely day! Safe travels to you and I"m sorry for your loss!
My mommy's BD is today, she would have been 85...Miss her terriblly. She passed in 1997 so it's been a very long time.
I walked on my treadmill today and did the Total Gym, took Logan on the trail. It's so nice not having to wear winter boots and bulky clothing...just go out the door and go! But it is coming and there isn't one thing I can do about it but to embrace it and move on and I shall!
Have a lovely day!

Hi everyone! My son went to school today....he was home yesterday too. He got sick at school, but decided to stick it out. I am not feeling a hundred percent either....but did a slow jog on the treadmill 2.6 mi./38 min. Usually I feel better afterward, but not today! Could be a combo of a virus and sinuses.....90 one day then 70 the next.....then back again!
@bopper - anniversaries of our loved ones that have passed are tough....chin up and remember the great times. I miss my mom often. My son was three when she died so he only has pics.

Hi, everyone. Happy weekend. We haven't seen Laura or Lucy or Just in awhile...I hope things are ok with them.
The 4th pair of shoes I tried didn't work either...I wore them with a gel insoles and one foot started hurting like a neuroma hurts. I took the insole out, and the pain alleviated, thank goodness. I might have to use a different insole in each shoe. I'd think about buying new shoes, but at this point I have no idea what to buy.
A side effect of my job is I'm losing weight (!) So I'm right that it counts as a workout, I think. I wish I had thought of weighing myself before I staetedcthe job. Didn't do so until 2 weeks in. What I know if I lost 1.2 pounds this week, and I weight 2.5 pounds less than I did in June. Yea!
Need to go to the store today and get Thanksgiving food. Carbs! Yum. Will roast a turkey breast and look forward to the leftovers...hot turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy. Looking forward to 2 days off work as well. ☺
Have a good weekend, everyone.
Bopper, I'll watch for the Cuddl Duds PJ TSV...I hope I haven't missed it.

Good morning, everyone! Yes, it is indeed getting cold everywhere north. This morning, in my Chicago suburb, it is a cool 24 degrees. Brrrr!
I was in a Toledo, Ohio for a couple of days for a funeral and didn't even take a coat. It was 71 degrees there this past Friday. Driving home, we went through torrential rain forlose to an hour and at the rest stops, we could feel the temperature dropping. (By the way, half of the rest stops are now closed so you might have to take a bucket with you, lol).
So as with most funerals (I guess), there is a repass after the ceremony at the gravesite. We went to the church for that and boy did they have a spread! I couldn't help myself and had to get an overload of food. That morning at the hotel, I had a breakfast that was more than portion sized so this's was adding insult to injury.
Saturday morning, at home, I got on the scale to see that it was (actually, I) was up 1.2 lbs. Oh, well, I earned them honestly, lol. This morning, one pound is gone so I guess it wasn't true fat yet. Also on Saturday, I went and did my Zumba class and a 2 mile walk, so I'm sure that helped, too. Today, I'm going to walk as well. No instructor classes are given on Sundays.
With the holidays coming, I'm sure most of us are going to try and get in more working out, right? My fitness center will be open for limited hours on Thanksgiving and I plan to be there or be square! That afternoon, we are going out to a nice restaurant for our holiday meal. It will be the first time we've done that so I'm anxious to see how that works out. I made the reservation about two weeks ago.
Enjoy your 'thankful to be here' day everyone!

Happy Sunday Funday! We got snow! I had to shovel 5 inches off the deck this morning. The roads are snow packed and icy. Glad I"m not going anywhere today. I hate driving on snow packed icy roads and the kooks who drive too fast! On a brighter note Logan loves it! He lays in it and eats it. He'd rather eat snow than drink water....I am getting him a heated water bowl though. For some "strange" reason he doesn't like to drink water inside . His water bowl is full and he won't drink out of it. He does in the summer so yes he is a strange one! Also won't drink or eat out of a stainless steel dog bowl. Odd to say the least!
Mmsfoxxie glad you got home safely! Funeral food is alwasy good. I will workout the same as always and eat the same as always. It's only hubby and me for Thanksgiving and frankly I'd be happy with a pizza. But he wants me to cook a small turkey so I will and with the left overs I love homemade turkey soup so will do that for later in the week.
I wouldn't mind going to a restaurant frankly but he likes the left overs for sandwiches and I do admit I love homemade soup. I make soup a lot actually, it uses up older veggis in the drawer too.
Nomless did you see my link for the jammies? I love new jammies and new robes but I do get very hot in a bathrobe. I feel like I"m wearing a coat inside. I have 2 nice robes but they are too hot.
I heard on Wednesday we may get more measurable snow....I hope not but not much control over that. If I don't get to the store then I don't....maybe will go on Tuesday after my hair appt.
I hope to see more posts and missing a few folks.. Hope your doing well.

Oh my goodness, @bopper! Are you in the Minnesota area? It's kind of early for that much snow. We have the service that cuts our grass do snow removal IF it's more than about 2 inches. There was a time that I protested the charge because I knew for a fact that it was less. It's only the driveway so if my husband isn't able or doesn't want to shovel, I'm happy to shovel less than two inches to save the money. Especially if more than once that week is predicted. We're not rich by a long shot.
I believe it was on QVC that I saw some gloves that had a battery in them to keep your hands warm. I might check them out for when I shovel snow. My fingers get almost frozen if the temperatures are extremely low. Be careful out there.
