Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Thread

I'm not in gear, that's for sure. Company decided to get rid of my department so I and others were terminated. I came home and started job hunting. Found one I might like, submitted an app.

Will spend the weekend getting back into workouts, for sure.

Bopper, awesome job! I miss Lucy too. Wish we'd hear from her.

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Thread

Nomless!  So sorry to hear the news about your job!  That is so stressful.  I'll be thinking of you and hope you find something soon.

Bopper - I like the PiYo workouts but they can be hard and I think a bit much for a beginner.  If a person who doesn't exercise much and doesn't understand to modify a lot of the exercises, could get hurt trying to do some of it.

I didn't work out today as I didn't want to do too much right away just in case the hip/back wasn't quite ready.  Will work out tomorrow morning and over the weekend.

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Thread

@nomless  I am so sorry or very happy for you.  If you've found another one so quick, good for you!  I know it's jarring but everyone I have watched leave Boss Satan's den has done wonderfully well.  It really makes me wonder about myself that I stay.  I know you'll find the right place and position for you soon.  Heart

I have my gym bag packed for Pound class tonight. We'll see if I make it.

Happy Friday everyone!

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Thread

Thanks for your good wishes, Judy and Laura, appreciate it.  Maybe it's for the best.....I haven't been happy there since they got rid of my old boss a couple of months ago, I was staying only for the pay check.  Fingers crossed I can find something actually enjoy....what a good change that would be, right?

@nomless  An excellent one!  I know you'll find something even better.  I'm kind of waiting on the ball to drop with my new owners too.  That's why I've been prepping for a new career and town.  It's scary especially when you're not 20 anymore but I know you and I'll be just fine.  Smiley Happy

[ Edited ]

Since we all need a laugh today, this is what my my month has been like at work:

Man calls about his bill and disputes charge because he was billed for 3 people.

No, sir, you were actually charged for 2 people.

Man then disputes same charge because it was billed on a Saturday.

No, sir, April 3rd was actually a Sunday.

Man disputes same charge saying he works Monday through Saturday and it's not his charge because April 3rd is a Saturday.

Sir, I'm looking at a calendar.  April 1st was Friday, the 2nd was Saturday, and the 3rd was Sunday.

Man continues to argue with me for the next 2-3 minutes that April 3rd was a Saturday and he is going to come see me in person to discuss it.

Sir, you are done discussing anything with me and, if you feel you were mischarged, you may discuss it with the GM where he will show you a calendar clearly showing April 3rd was a SUNDAY.

@nomless  Doesn't that make you feel better that you have a current break from the working world?  How dare you leave me here by myself.  Smiley Very HappySmiley Wink

Just in case you all wonder why I'm a nut case.  Now you know how it happened and why I walk with the squirrels on weekends.

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Thread

Bopper, yes, you're right....I didn't like that job much since they got rid of my previous boss, but the pay was very good.  Next job will pay less, but that will be OK if it's something I can be happy doing.

Laura, thanks for the laugh.....although I'm sure the frustration you feel doesn't make you laugh.  So enjoy your long weekend, and don't think about work.

Well, heck, I wrote more, but lots of typos and I can no longer edit while writing a post.  So annoying.  So I deleted what I wrote and will try again tomorrow.

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Thread

Happy Memorial Day Weekend everyone!  This morning I did another day of Shredding, I wasn't feeling like it but I did it and am glad I did!  It's still yucky outside, drizzle, fog, muggy.....not sure any outside activity will be do-able today.

Laura your story was very amusing!  People can be such jerks!  I hope you enjoy your weekend.

Nomless It's so important to actually not mind going to your job!  Even if the pay is less!  Any plans this weekend?  I sure wish we would see some sun!

Hubby is at work only till noon, but it's too icky to be outside, and I hate to think of sitting all day in front of the TV, that's not healthy!

I did get some new workout shorts and tops at Walmart.  I was in diar need of workout stuff.

Well not much else here, so have a good weekend!
