Re: Welcome to the March Exercise Check In

Life got crazy today and I had a bunch of stuff I had to take care of after work, so no workout. And today they put new carpet down in the hallway outside my apt. While doing so, they somehow managed to damage my carpet, just inside the door, taking out a chunk about a half inch wide, 3 inches long. I called and told them about it, but I don't think it can be fixed. It looks awful. Sigh.

Re: Welcome to the March Exercise Check In

Morning, this morning I did another round of TG 14 Day Challenge. I changed up the levels too and am getting stronger. Last night Hubby and I walked the neighborhood too so that was an add on.

Oh boy nomless, I"m sorry! I read and then type and forget who says what? So sorry to hear about your foot issue. My feet hurt a lot especially when I am barefoot. Arthritis maybe, I don't know...among other hurts! They should make good on your carpet I think.

Pppmint thinking of you and all you have to do and hoping your getting lots done! It will all be worth it in the end.

MickD are you doing TG today?

Hoping everyone lurking and reading are all well.

Have a great day!

Re: Welcome to the March Exercise Check In

I intermittently pop on here and did this morning for some inspiration, although I didn't need too much since it didn't take a lot of convincing to take a walk outdoors in full sunshine and 70 degrees after a long cold winter. What a treat!! I've missed the benefits of what consistent natural sunlight and exercise does for the soul. I have struggled to stay consistent because I prefer to be outdoors, but it's no excuse. I have numerous Leslie Sansone, The Firm and Shred DVDs. Anyway, I've enjoyed reading your posts this morning. Smiley Happy

Re: Welcome to the March Exercise Check In

Hi, msblossom1, isn't it great to have spring popping out all over....except for Bopper, who is still dealing with winter. It's great that you had a nice walk outside. It's a great motivator.

I hope to do the bike tonight. Will lay off the treadmill and elliptical until my foot is better, but darn, it's going to be BORING to do the bike for an hour.

Plans might change when I see the state of my carpet. If they don't fix it today, I'll have to call management again and have another conversation about it. This morning I noticed that the carpet tacks are poking up, and they're very sharp. That's dangerous for both me and my cats. Fingers crossed it will be repaired when I get home. I guess they're going to try to stretch it some more and tack it down again.

Bopper, you're doing so great on the TG. Good for you!! And how great you and DH could go out for a walk last night.

Patty, I hope the moving week is going well and the DS is doing OK amid all the commotion.

Hi, MickD and Tony, a big wave to you, too. Mick, how's your foot doing?

Re: Welcome to the March Exercise Check In

Hey! Did the TG intermediate...boy I have wanted to go for a run but the foot is caput....haha...it's amazing after only four runs that it is still painful... The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again with the same result...right? I am going to wait until I am pain free before running again.
