Re: Welcome to the March Exercise Check In

Good morning! Been up since 4:15, have a good handle on the laundry but still have 30 things on my to-do list today. We leave for PA tomorrow, have the Home Inspection today.

DH is going to CF with me this morning. The wod is rounds of different exercises for 1 minute each, 3x, as many reps as you can do. Yesterday's was hard! It was one of those that you look at and don't think it looks that hard, but I couldn't barely finish my last round. I was the 3rd one finished in our class though! {#emotions_dlg.thumbup1} 100 burpees is tough.

Our CPA is missing one thing for our taxes so I have to take care of that today too, wanted to get a pedi but not sure I'll have time. One of my new friends at CF had the prettiest color gel on her nails, makes me want to do that again too. I don't like sitting to have it done though but I might force myself. {#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

nomless...my cousin goes to a gym in LA with her grandson! She did a few sessions with the personal trainer but now does it on her own, her grandson still has the PT, he's lost weight too. She initially went for him but she is definitely reaping the benefits and pleased with the results, not just physical either.

Thanks bopper!!

Praying for all those affected by that horrible weather in OK.

Re: Welcome to the March Exercise Check In

50 mincardio done. I was going to do an hour, but a weird guy came in and I didn't want to be there with him without others around. Patty, how cool that Grandma and grandson are working out together. Awesome. Have a safe trip to DS. I hope he's continuing to get better. Mick, hope that foot feels better. Bopper, Future, Tony, Cater and all our friends, hope you had a good day. Time for dinner!

Re: Welcome to the March Exercise Check In

One more thing....my workouts have been going much better, In the winter, I find it hard to push myself.....maybe because it's cold and dark and I want to be home. Now that it's light well into the evening, I don't mind working out longer andI push myself harder. My timew are getting much better. I'm much happier with how things are going. I was frustrated most of the winter.

Re: Welcome to the March Exercise Check In

Hi, all! Yesterday I didn't go to the gym bc we were expecting storms. We are all safe and sound. But I don't like being out and about during that. It's just cray cray. Today I had the worst headache, but went to spin anyway. Also had to deal with a maintenance guy coming to the house, a vet appt, and WORK mixed in there. Lol! I didnt push myself as much as usual at spin, but I was really glad that I went. Hubby and I have a dinner to go to tmrw night for a local charity that we are trying to get more involved in, and we know a few people going, so it should be fun. Nothing else this weekend, but a few errands, which I'll probably do after spin Saturday morning. We had a very, very close family friend (like family to us) pass away. He had been sick for some time, and I had been getting updates from my parents a couple of times a day, but when my parents called it really hit me. He was the most wonderful man I've ever met, and probably will ever meet. Just amazing. And humble and sweet and kind and generous. The funeral should be beginning of next week, and if you think of it, we could use some prayers. I know we will see him again one day, but the initial grief is still there. ok, I need to get ready for bed. It's been a long day, and I need to hit the hay!

Re: Welcome to the March Exercise Check In

Happy Friday everyone, very cold here at 13 degrees so Spring isn't everywhere!

Just did TG 14 Day Challenge, getting stronger and better at it.

FUTURE I will certainly pray for this family and for you in the loss of your dear friend. Hugs and prayers.

Nomless thanks for the link to the rice cooker thread. I looked at it and it looks like something I could get a lot of use with. I"ll check Walmart next week too.

Pppmint safe travels to you all going up to see DS. Hoping things go well and you get them all situated in their new home!

MickD Are you doing another TG workout. You should try that 14 day Challenge. It's great. I found it on the Rosalie Brown's FB page.

Tony another weekend coming up. I know your still dealing with Winter and snow. I see all the Q hosts wearing their sandals and capri's and I think not here !

Waving to all!

Re: Welcome to the March Exercise Check In

Awww, Future, I'm sorry for the loss of your family friend. It's so sad to lose people who mean so much to us. Hugs for you. And prayers.

Hi, Bopper. Tonight in my cooker I'm going to make yellow rice (I bought a packaged kind...rice with the seasoning already in it) with chicken bratwurst. Sort of a mock (very mock!) paella. I hope it's good.....the type of rice I got has good reviews everywhere, so it should be OK. My goodness, it's cold there! You certainly learn all about patience up there!

Tonight will be a rest night. My friend with the animals is out of town. She took the collie with her, but left the cat at home. I'll stop by after work and check on food and water, etc. Poor Maizy gets lonely (I think) when her collie buddy is gone. When she hears me come in, she'll be disappointed to see it's only me and not her good bud the collie.

TGIF, of course! I hope things go well at DS's place, Patty. You'll be busy!

And now, back to work....

Re: Welcome to the March Exercise Check In

Good morning, everyone. I did cardio this morning and will play this afternoon. Am going to a casino with a friend for lunch, then we'll wander around and play some of the slots. We go about 3 times a year, kind of fun to do now and then.
