Re: Welcome to the March Exercise Check In

30 min cardio done. No time to do more. It's a busy day with lots to do, including taking Coco to see Dr. Jay for her physical. She'll be mad at me later this afternoon. The bottom of my left heel has been sore, so today I put insoles that Dolvet was sponsoring in my shoes...Dr Scholl's Athetic Active or something like that. I think they helped. Have a good Sunday.

Re: Welcome to the March Exercise Check In

Hey all, rest day for me today. Not much of anything. Watching Nascar and Basketball.

Nomless Coco will be giving you the stink eye!{#emotions_dlg.lol}You had a great workout too. Are your shoe inserts the kind that you see in the store where you step on that machine and it tells you what type you are? I saw that machine in Walmart. I think I am in need of new shoes again. I can see the wear on the soles of mine.

Pppmint hoping today gives you and DH some rest and relaxation. Has Lucy adapted to the new eye glasses yet? She thinks mama looks different!

Enjoy your Sunday Funday!

Bopper, no, my inserts aren't the ones you mentioned. No machine is used to determine size. Dolvet was doing commercials for the ones I got, so I thought I'd give them a try. So far, so good,

Re: Welcome to the March Exercise Check In

Hi Everyone! Bopper- yup, I watched the race last week and am right now. You are still with one car? I don't always mind when that happens cos I am such a homebody and it gets me out of some things! Patty- hope your house, DH,soreness and whatever chaos younhave going on settles down! Nomless-I know what you mean about watching tv or exercise DVDs I always pick TV- that's why I have little to report on workouts! Future- hope your schedule is settling down, too. I have the same report- workout when I get to it. I was hoping to get outside walking but the snow has not quite melted enough- the roads are not wide enough yet. But my driveway no longer feels like a tunnel, so a little progress here. And it is still cold. We hit 40s one day last week but lucky to hit 30s. Oh well. So low key it is! Thinking of you!

A nightmare woke me up at 3 am and I couldn't get back tp sleep. So here I am at 5 am, finally decided to give up sleeping. I got up and made some coffee. What a way to start the work week. Hi, Tony good to see you. Enjoy watching the snow melt.

Re: Welcome to the March Exercise Check In

Happy Monday everyone! Sorry nomless, I wasn't too far behind you. I had a crazy day yesterday so couldn't unwind and then kept waking up and checking my phone all night long.

One of the guys(and his family) from dh's Command just started coming to our church...he went out of town Saturday morning but the wife and kids still came and her little boy had a seizure in the nursery. Well, you would have thought it was my child the way I barged in and took over...good grief. Anyway, that's a whole other story but I followed the ambulance to the 1st hospital, he had another seizure while they were checking him in so Children's hospital came and got him in their ambulance. They admitted him and he'll have an MRI and EEG this morning. DH took her older boys, got them lunch, watched a Disney movie, and drove them to her friend's house, then drove her van to the hospital and rode home with me. So...it was another long day.

Then my son tells me last night he has a sore throat. Not alarming for most people, but for someone on auto-immune suppressants, it's a big deal. So I'm waiting to hear from him. He's supposed to call the doctor if he catches a cold or anything.

So...I'm doing chores and laundry now, have CF at 9, then will probably go back to the hospital. I'm even wondering if I should skip CF and just go over there.

Hope everyone has a great week, the weekend was a blur for us.

Re: Welcome to the March Exercise Check In

Hey everyone, today is gloomy and drizzling and only 40. The rest of the week though I heard only 20's so your all pretty much way ahead of me except you Tony...we better stick together. We have a yard full of snow yet and snowbanks to boot. Sooner or later we'll catch up to the rest!

I just did the TG 14 Day Challenge workout. Still loving it and it does challenge me. Had to lower the column for a few rounds but it's all good.

Pppmint so sorry to hear about your Sunday and your friends little boy. I hope today they get some answers. Also keeping DS in prayer that he doesn't get sick. You really have a lot on your plate so to speak and with DH and his travels and your house...you could use a break!

Nomless it's winter here still as I said..hoping April comes and melts everything. Sorry about your nightmare. Those are terrible and can seem so real. I guess you will have a long day today. I hope tonight you can relax with Shadow and Cocoa and tomorrow is a new day!

Tony yup we're in the Winter mode still too so your not alone. Lots of snow and snowbanks still.

FUTURE are you having a good Monday and hoping your weekend was good too.

Waving to all!

Re: Welcome to the March Exercise Check In

Hi, everyone. I'm still sleepy from my short night! And I still remember my nightmare. Ugh....I hope it doesn't keep me awake tonight.

Well, Bopper, I hope I don't annoy you by saying it will be in the mid-80's here today and warm tomorrow. I've dug out my crop pants and sandals, but only for a couple of days. Then it will go back down into the 50's.

I was lucky yesterday in that Coco didn't get mad about her trip to the vet. And the cats weren't mad at each other when she came back home. Usually, after a trip to the vet, that cat is ignored and hissed at for a few days because s/he has brought back unfamiliar odors. But Coco and Shadow were OK with each other when we got back home. Little does she know she has to go back for a teeth cleaning. I'll do that next month...it's expensive! She'll be mad at me then, for sure.

I know I should do weights tonight, but I'll probably do cardio. Fact is, I don't want to do resistance...which is a surprise. I used to love it, now I hate it. Oh, I just remembered....I ordered a medicine ball workout that the Firm did. I found an inexpensive copy somewhere, can't remember where. Michael Carson's med ball w/o is one of my faves, so I hope I like the Firm's version, too. Those workouts are good for core and arms both. I wish Carson would do more DVDs. I think he's doing online only. I suppose all will go that route sooner or later.

Ok....break is over, back to work. Have a good afternoon.
