Hey everyone, I did my running around this morning too foxxie.   Will get my 10,000 plus steps in too.  Almost there now.   It's 74 but feels hotter to me, debating whether to put the AC on.  I know tomorrow through Sunday will be really hot and humid and thunderstorms, yuck!

MickD- good for you getting out there early.  I get my hair colored next week before the 4th.  Seems I'm there every month, this dang grey hair!  Hahaha

Dr.Kelli triple digits for you guys.    No thanks.....at least you don't have the humidity there though, it's quite dry.

Good morning, all.  Yeah...that hot weather is a coming.  This weekend is supposed to be 95 to 99.  Ugh.

I’m trying to book an inexpensive hotel for a weekend in Vegas in August.  My soon to be one year old grand daughter is having a big bd party.  Too bad she won’t remember it, lol.  Anyway, the hotel prices are crazy.  As soon as I think I’ve decided on one, I find out that there is a ‘resort’ charge added.  Airfare is all over the place, too.  Under other circumstances I would not be going to Vegas in August.  Way too hot.

Early Zumba class this morning and maybe that class that pretends to be cardio with the slow broadway music.  Oh well, it’s movement.

Add Denver to the OMG it's HOT club.  Yesterday was 103, today is supposed to be hotter.

I was out at our company's aid station for bike to work day yesterday morning, we had over 200 people stop. It is actually a 'neighborhood" station, so there were about 4 other businesses there and we had giveaways, juice, snacks, water and coffee.

My mom is back in the hospital with heart issues. She is scheduled for an ablation this morning and the cardiologist told her it should correct the problem and she will still be able to go on our trip.

@Mmsfoxxie, weekends are always expensive in Vegas--you get the deals for weekdays.  And I've been in Vegas for work in August and it is miserable.

Tell me about it @DrKelli, lol.  This big party for a one year old is ridiculous to me anyway but we have to go for my son's sake.  No matter how expensive it is.  Were it us to me, we'd go in the late fall or spring.  Personally, I think my daughter in law is taking this first baby thing too far. Family drama, lol.  Her family will be there so we have to be there.

Hey everyone, it was a hectic day here, I have been babysitting for my 2 year old GD almost all day, she wore me out.   I did get my 10,000 steps in but it was so hot out I was not up to pushing a stroller around with no shade.  We only went a little ways and came back.  I did set her little pool up under a tree in the backyard and she had fun playing in that.   She's at the clingy stage now and cries for daddy out of the blue.  She was playing and having fun and all of a sudden she says daddy.  So I told her daddy was working and she kept it up and kept it up, then the tears came.    I did distract her and it seemed to pass.   

I agree foxxie it sounds more like a party for "her" not a 1 year old.  Seems silly in my opinion and expensive for you guys.  

DrKelli sorry to hear you mom is having heart issues, it sounds like they can get this under control though.  So hot there, my DIL told me over 100...

I should start the July thread, there is so much going on I may forget, everyone think that would be okay.  You do want me to continue with this thread don't you?   I realize we don't always have a lot to say but I don't mind that, just saying hi to friends impacts my day, how about yours?

Good morning, Group.  Yes, it’s getting hot and hotter for most of us.

@bopper, I’m sure all of us want the thread to go on.  I’m posting in June still, though, assuming you just wanted it set so that you won’t forget.  

Oh, yes, I’ll bet your two year old grand daughter does give you a run for your money.  I can’t wait to see mine in August.  And yes, it’s going to cost us a lot which we were planning on going but NOT in the heat of summer.  But due to something my daughter in law wrote in FB, I get the feeling that she doesn’t think my son’s side of the family want to come and see my gd.  Or maybe it’s me she’s talk about since I haven’t been there.  She and my son were nice enough to bring her here.  Oh, well, if we can get decent airfare, we’re going.  The thought of possibly using Spirit Airlines bothers me, though.  And the thought of being around my ex and his wife bothers me, too.  Life’s little family dramas, lol.

Senior Cardio this morning!  Maybe a mile or two of walking.  Three of the five pounds that I gained on vacation are gone and my ankles are no longer swollen.  Exercise is one of the best medicines there is and I’m happy to share my thoughts and experiences about it at my amateurish level.

@DrKelli, I hope your mother improves at the speed of lightening!  Have a great day everyone.

@bopper  yes, yes, yes, I do want this thread to continue.  I may not always report in or work out but I do so enjoy reading everyone's posts and when I am working out regularly, this group keeps me on track.

Was actually thinking of doing a 30/30 starting on July 1.  It would actually be 31 days since it's July.  I was thinking of doing a walk for 30 minutes every day for 30 days.  I know most of you do that already but thought I'd like to try it and see if I can do it.  Am also curious to see how my weight/strength/genreal overall health improves and changes over the month..

Bopper, although I haven't posted much in the past few months, I also would like the thread to continue. That said, it's likely that my contributions will continue to be minimal for awhile as I take care of things here that need attention. But we're all friends, right? I would miss everyone if the thread disappeared.

Foxxie I agree about family drama....I haven't seen my grandson but 1 time since he was born and he's over 9 months old now.  He will never know us as grandma and grandpa, it's unfortunate but it's the truth.  We can't afford to fly there often nor do we all do good under 1 roof if you know what I mean.   I totally understand where you are coming from...too bad the drama has to rule and you are probably right on what she wrote on FB.

DrKelli it's brutally hot there, be careful and get in the AC.   Praying for your mom too!

Nomless it's okay if your not here daily, we all understand things at home need to be taken care of.   I just wanted to be sure nobody was bored here.  

MickD, I shall "carry on".....it's so humid here my glasses fogged up when I went outside....I did walk this morning though so got all my steps in, wasn't pleasant but I still did it.

Judy that sounds like a good plan, I've tried to get all my steps in everyday, usually I don't but I have now for the last 10 days.   I can't use my TG now as my hamstrings are still playing games with me and now my rotator cuff on both shoulders is bugging me.  Not to the point I need something done but it's a "be careful" sign so not much upper body either. but my walking is consistent.   I have to watch what I eat though and that's hard for me sometimes in summer.  I never used to drink beer, and now I found this flavored beef and it's good!   I won't do much in winter though but in summer I like some wine or this Bud Light orange I really like, then found a german beer that's light and flavored like pink grapefruit.

Tomorrow and Sunday 90 here, we really go off the rails with temps, considering Monday people were turning on the heaters...
