Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

TGIF everyone!

@bopper I was deep cleaning yesterday too.....kitchen cabinets.  We've been in this house for 11 years and I need to declutter and deep clean.  I did order the tsv roomba so that'll be one less daily chore!

@nomless What a great friend you are and I am sure she will enjoy your hard work and a nice visit!

Did 2.75mi/33.30min on the treadmill.

Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

Just a quick peek in---I'm out at a plant today, so no exercise.  I was pleasantly surprised yesterday because the sub we had for Zumba let me teach 3 songs.  I was not really prepared (even though I had my ipod with my music), but at least I got some practice in.  I've really got to practice this weekend to be ready to go next Thursday.

I'm planning on relaxing this weekend.  I'm tired and need to not do a whole lot!

I hope you all have a good weekend!

Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

Hi Everyone!  I know its been a long time since I checked in.  Have been reading everyones posts for awhile now.  It was good to catch up and see familiar names and some new ones!

I've been doing well.  Still working and still have the "difficult one" on my desk but I'm coping as best I can.  A few weeks ago my daughter and I flew to NYC and spent a few days being tourists.  It was a wonderful mom/daughter trip and we had a great time.  However, NYC is not for me.  Glad it is checked off my bucket list but don't see me ever returning.  At the end of August, I will be going to England, Wales, & Scotland.  My mother was British so afer going to Ireland last year - where my father was from - felt it only fair that I visit Great Britain to honor my mother.  LOL  After that trip, I should be home for a while.

Joined Weight Watchers and have lost almost 15 pounds.  Sometimes I gain a few back but then I manage to lose them again.  I want to lose another 10 by the time I go to England.  To do that tho, I need to start exercising and you all know how I feel about that.

@Laura14 sounds like you left the job you had the last time I was posting.  Weren't you also thinking of moving?  Hope your new job opportunities go well for you.

Everyone else, I send good wishes and many blessings!

Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

Happy Saturday, Just relaxing with my coffee watching Am Style and Evine which also has fashion on.   I'll be watching the Preakness this afternoon too, the last of the 3 races.

Judy so happy you came in to connect with us again.   Your upcoming trip sounds amazing, what a great experience for you and so much history.  Congratulation on the weight loss.   WW is a great program, I've done it too.  I bet you'll be doing  a lot of walking on your trip too.   I wouldn't like NY I don't think either, maybe a visit like you did because of all the things to do and see but my heart is in the country and the quiet.  Not to say you can't live in the country there and just trips to the city but I think when you come from a smaller area like I do, I personally couldn't adjust to easily there.

DrKelli nice you were able to teach a few yesterday and I sure hope you do have a nice relaxing weekend.  We're supposed to be warming up a lot.  Hard to adjust when you go from what we have been having to almost 90, but we'll see.

MickD let me know how you like the Roomba, looked interesting for sure.  Yes decluttering, always!!   Then replace it with new "clutter"  Hahaha

Daisy good for you on the walking.  I wish out JCP was still open, they closed down here.  I miss that store.  We don't have tons of shopping where I live and I enjoyed going in there.  You'll get those steps in for sure.  Which fitbit do you own?   I have the "one" and it works well for me but I need to buy a new clip, mine broke so I have to keep it in my pocket.

Nomless what's going on today?  How are the feet holding up?

Laura are you going on the trail today.  I avoided the trail yesterday, the bugs are terrible and the water is still standing around back there, I just don't want to be swatting bugs trying to hold a pulling and tugging dog.  I was letting him off leash back there but I saw a doe and a fawn and I won't let him off now, he'd run after them.  He runs after everything, he even tries to follow crows flying  Hahahha

Well kids guess time for some breakfast.   Have a great relaxing weekend!

Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

@bopper  Maybe.  Aren't the bugs annoying as you know what?  I bring my hat and that helps but they buzz my ears and I hate that!  I actually broke my wrist this morning so we'll see.  I drive a stick shift so this life will get interesting.. Smiley Frustrated

Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

Whew!  I couldn't get in again this morning.  Frustrating.  Anyway, how is everyone.  Glad to see @Laura14.  Hi, @JudyL...don't think I've met you.

In a rush, just wanted to say hello and have a nice day.

Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

Judy! Thanks posting, it's good to see you again. It's fun that you have another trip in the works. Yay for your WW success!

This morning I did more pruning and then swept up yard waste from all the pruning that's been done. There's way more to do, but it's starting to look a bit more tidy. Foxxie, you're right, gardening chores are never done. I can tell that once a fill pass is made, it will be time to start it all again. Oh, dear.

DrKelli, yay that to did some Zumba songs. You're going to work yourself into a job there! So gald you're enjoying it.

Hi, Laura, sorry for the injury you described in the other thread. I hope the meds are redcuing the wrist pain.

Hi, Bopper, now I can't remember what you wrote. 😞 I hope you had a good day.

Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

Good morning, QVC exercise group.  Still having trouble logging in.  I keep getting taken to a product page.

@nomless, I hope it's not too hot to keep gardening for you today.  It's going to be innthe 90s again here today so watering is all we'll be doing.  I have to say I'm amazed and proud of my husband....he's been doing a lot in the yard this year.  I haven't.  We had our landscaper do some big work Friday...trim our hedges, these purple landscape trees that we have and some other backbreaking stuff.  And there's STILL stuff left to do, lol.  I used to run out every year to plant and do general work but not so much now.

We're going to visit the church of a friend this morning.  Guess I'd better get ready.

Have a great day everyone.  Ohhh, @Laura14, I wish you well.  I'm going to have to search for the thread that @nomless is talking about.

Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

@Mmsfoxxie

Nice to meet  you.  Don't think we have met before.

@Laura14 - Hope you have doing ok today.  Check in if you can.

@nomless and @bopper thank you for the nice hellos - I know its been a while.  I am excited about my trip in August.  Once done, my "roots" trips will be, for the most part, done.  Wanted to see where my father was from - Northern Ireland - and my mother - England.  Think its important to know where our roots are.  My mother was born in Barcelona, Spain - her parents were British - and lived there the first 8 years of her life and maybe someday I'll make it to Spain.  But I always remember how lovingly and proudly my mother spoke of Britain and will always associate her more with Britain than Spain.

Don't ya'll faint now when you read this.  LOL  A couple months ago I bought some Leslie Sansome walking DVDs that come with a resistance band.  She was selling this set of DVDs on the Q.  So this morning, I dusted them off - had opened the box but not looked at the DVDs - and decided to try the 1 mile walk first.  Did that and some of the 2 mile walk.  Also did some work on the Body Gym.  Think I'm going to like doing these as a way to ease myself back into trying to get more exercise.  I do realize that to lose the weight I want to lose, I will have to become more active with exercise.  Now to get the brain, heart, and motivation all on the same page.......

Enjoy your Sunday everyone!
