Good morning, everyone. Another hot muggy day coming. @JudyL, I love Weight Watchers! I've had my best successes doing their programs. When they changed their point system this last time, I just couldn't seem to get with it. I notice that I get bored with my eating after a while. But the last time I was on it in 2015, I looked and felt the best I had in years. I lost about 35 lbs and met my goal. I retired and started gaining again.
Leslie Sansone....love her videos. I have the one that you're talking about and it's great. When I joined my fitness center last year I focused on that instead of my videos. That resistance band is the best I've ever used.
Anybody go to the beach yesterday? @bopper and @DrKelli, I hope you have warm weather by now. @nomless, are you still working out some? @@MickD ow about you?
I have cardio, walking and weight training on the agenda today. I hope that the humidity doesn't effect the feel of the air conditioning system. I noticed last year that it would feel kind of sticky when I worked out although cool.
Have a great day!

Hi everyone!
@Mmsfoxxie, it is finally warm here! It was in the 90s over the weekend and today. Tomorrow is supposed to be a chilly 77. LOL!
I have a busy week ahead. Today's workout is a boot camp style Quick Fit. The teacher for that class, who is also the personal trainer for my small group session, rearranged his schedule so that he can attend my Zumba class on Thursday. I listened to the playlist all weekend and "praticed" in my head, so hopefully, all goes well.
I also started a diet today. I'm trying to cut out all white sugars (my downfall as I love dessert) and processed foods. I have done weight watchers, which is a really good program, but I get bored with tracking the points and last time, I didn't lose anything until I quit caring. So we'll see what happens with the no sugars and more protein and veggies. (Based on a Beachbody exercise program food plan)
Hope you all have a great day!

Happy Monday- yes it's finally warming up here too. We hit 90 over the weekend and today it's 80 and it's very humid out. I just turned the AC on, trying not to use it too much as it raised the electric bill quite a bit so I put it on power saver mode.
Laura how is your wrist? I'm sorry that happened to you. Did you say you slipped?
Judy I like Leslie too and that's a good place to start to get back into it. She's a great motivator. Your bucket list trips are all coming true, how fabulous for you!
Lucy I know it's been a while since you checked in, please don't leave us we miss the Lucy stories and you have lots of interseresting things to report. We realize your moving and it's hectic too but just say hi.
Dr.kelli enjoy bootcamp! Sounds like a good class for sure!
foxxie I made some rhubarb/strawberry crisp yesterday, it's so good it's sinful! Staying away from it for the most part.
nomless hope you have a good week.
MickD how are you doing?
We had terrible thunderstorms late yesterday afternoon and a good portion of the night. Loud booms and lots of lightening. Left with the mugginess now. Anyone buying the TSV shirt? I may be the odd one out, but I don't like the 5 easy payments. That can get "me" in the nervous mode. It isn't easy when I'm paying for something for 5 months. I do know you can choose to pay it off earlier but I guess I'm just better paying for it all at once and not thinking I have a payment coming I need to make.
Enjoy the day everyone!

@DrKelli and @Mmsfoxxie
I completely understand the feeling of boredom with food and tracking on WW. I joined in November and its taken me this long to lose the 14-15 pounds because I quit tracking around week 4. Just couldn't take it anymore. It actually made me more obsessed with food than less obsessed and I didn't like that. So now I don't track at all or at least very little and focus more on eating healthy or trying to at least - some days/weeks are better than others and will now try to add some exercise into the mix. There are some women in my WW group who, to me, seem so obsessed with tracking every single bite that they are more concerned with that than enjoying the food they are eating and life in general. I didn't want to get that way. Of course, they are losing weight faster than I am but I'm not so sure they are all that happy about it! LOL My feelings are, if it takes me 3 or 4 years to lose all my weight, so be it.
Hope everyone has a good Monday!

@bopper Trimming a very tall bush that is way bigger than I was. It will be landfill and bonfire fodder shortly.
And I am still going to the gym tomorrow. I can Pound with one hand but Power class will be interesting with one arm.

Good morning, everybody. When I got home from my workout yesterday, the house was nice and cool. My DH had turned the ac on. We don't turn it on until we have to and I guess when he came home from working out (he goes at 5 am!) he couldn't take the mugginess at longer. Heat accumulates and yesterday was the third day of heat. Ms. Budget-minded me didn't say a word, lol.
@bopper, girl don't tempt me talking about your strawberry rhubarb crisp, lol, I'll be getting my apples out making my apple crisp. I lost 9.6 lbs on my raw food diet. Had to quit after 14 days, though. I felt tired more than usual. I didn't get none of that burst of energy I read about. Sunday, I got be a juicy burger and fries. I ate half Sunday and the other half yesterday. If I had gotten dessert, I would have went overboard.
@JudyL and @DrKelli, that is so true about WW tracking. I couldn't do all of that writing. I lost my highest weight and even went under goal by using Points Plus. I knew the plan well enough to not need to track. I'll admit that I didn't change my menu much....I kept eating what I knew would result in a loss. Before I stopped going, I consistently either had a loss for the week or remained the same....usually I had a loss. I'm a Liftetime member.
When WW changed this last time, my daily allowance of points went from 26 to 30. Certain foods had a different point value. I didn't like it and decided to keep with what I knew. But at the meetings, the leader wouldn't discuss the old plan unless a specific question was asked. So I stopped going about a month after I retired and I gained 30 lbs that year before joining my fitness center where I finally lost 20 of the 30 that I gained. From Christmas of this year until now I regained about ten again now now have lost that. What I want to do is lost that final ten. I'm only five ft tall so I can't get away with eating as much as taller people. Drat it!
I can't remember what you other ladies posted about (I blame it on being 69, lol) so please excuse me.
This morning, I'm doing Body & Sculpt, walk a mile or two and lastly, my flexibility class. Full morning.
Keep cool!

Hey ya'all! Was out early this morning and walked, it was only in the 50's. Only 63 now and that's the high for today but perfect for walking and outside stuff. Got the grass mowed and planted my deck boxes. Why is it the Miracle Grow potting mix is like a bag of mud. I mean it was disguisting and my gardening gloves were all wet. Apparently those bags are not water proof so sitting in parking lots waiting to be sold they get soggy. Plus the bag is double the weight it says on the bag being wet. Yee Gads!!! But it's done.
foxxie that rhubarb crisp was sinful,,,I mean "sinful" LOL Not trying to tempt you at all Hahah. I love apple crisp too though. We try and not use our AC to often too as you can see the meter going up, up, up! Today is a window open kind of day for sure.
Laura no pruning high bushes again! Were you on a ladder? Now how was 1 handed pound?
I have also done WW and the points, it does get old and to be honest at first I was losing and then I went months without a loss and I was charting everything and exercising and drinking lots of water, changing up the diet, you name it I think I did it but stay the same. I'm built like a brick I think LOL But anyways I still think it's one of the best programs out there.
Nomless hi and waving!
Lucy are you reading, you are missed.
Later gaiters!

@bopper My mother is ripping every bush out! LOL Italian mother protecting her kid. And no ladder. I tripped all by myself over all her overgrown shrubs on the big hill trying to tame them.
One hand pound was not bad. One hand power was entertainment. Me and my colored dumbbells worked ourselves out on that right arm. I now have a purple cast to match one of them. ![]()

@Mmsfoxxie - Body & Sculpt? Are you doing PiYo? Just curious. How do you like it? Tried it a year ago and think it was what caused me to hurt my back/hip. So instead of trying it again, but slower, I decided to do the Leslie Sansone DVDs until I'm in better shape with the goal of getting back to PiYo some day in the future.
