Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

@bopper  That was me!  I don't think I even know what rhubarb looks like.  I think Marie is back on Sunday with her BG.  I'll check her out and see if she has any moves for me.  I still haven't watched the DVD so there you go, Laura.  Do that tonight.

I love your picture today.  It reminds me of my happy place.  Smiley Very Happy

Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

Bopper, you're killing Shred!  I'm proud of you. 😃

Hi, Laura.  Thanks for the tip that Marie will be on Sunday.  I enjoy watching her.

I did two rounds of cardio today plus weights.  I increased the weight for lat pull downs. Now it's a little too heavy but I can decrease reps if necessary.  I'm trying to get psyched to go to my book group tonight.....I quit years ago, but now that I have time, I should go again.

Have a good day, everyone.

Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

@nomless  For you to smile while you are on a break from the workforce:

I had one of the worst days of my working life yesterday that started with people screaming at me all morning and subsequently being passed to the management team and ending with someone bringing their half eaten grilled cheese to my desk and tossing it at me because they didn't like how the restaurant cooked it.

What is with this world anymore?  Whatever happened to sending it back to the kitchen and having it remade?  Instead you wander up to the offices and toss your half eaten food at administration?

Are you sure you want to come back to all this?  Smiley Wink

Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

Laura - that is over the top not acceptable what that person did.  I've had some unreasonable attorneys and clients but, thank goodness, never that!

This morning I got up and did a 20 minute short TurboJam aerobic DVD and a 20 minute TurboJam ab workout.  I was done after that.

Hope everyone else has a good day and can get their workouts in.

Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

Hi all, I did another day of Shredding, level 2 day 4....still find it very hard....I hope I get something out of doing all this hard work, so far nothing except I "think" and I say that carefully my stamina seems better and I say that gingerly  LOL

Laura and nomless that is not acceptable behavior on your co-workers part....people are rude and thoughtless and I wish you could hold them in check.  Just have to take a breath and try and move past it, it's a new day today and I certainly hope it is better for you!

I have to mow the grass but wanted to watch my Tigers right now.  In between innings I"m doing pushups and walking around the house!  Need to get my 10,000 steps in LOL

I just picked my lilacs for the kitchen table.  Just love them.  They don't last long but I sure do enjoy the scent!

Then saw a huge jet streak, wonder where it's going hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

My deceased MIL's forgetmeknots are now up and I have fond memories of those in her yard....Guess I'm having a scentimental day and feeling grateful for everything I have....

Have a great day everyone!

Get out of here!  Wherever that is, I am moving in!  Smiley Wink

I am probably going to the shore in August for my final vacation days before September if I make it that long.  I promise nothing if I get another piece of cheese thrown at me.  You may find me instead making bail.  Smiley Tongue

Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

Bopper, your lilacs and forget-me-nots sound lovely.  The scent of lilacs is wonderful. Enjoy.  Your Shred is doing you good even if you can't see it.  Keep up the good work.

Good job, Judy!

Laura, that's awful.  I don't know how you put up with it.  I'm surprised you CAN put up with it.  I don't know if I could.  At least you keep perspective and realize that other things in your life are more important and being you joy than that darn job.  You go, girl. You're much better than they.

I'm tired today...two workouts a day takes a toll.  So today I did only one cardio session. That's enough for today.

ANW tonight.  Yea!

Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

Richard Simmons fan here.  He's back in the news because bizarre behavior resulted in a 911 call and short hospitalization.  I hope he's OK.  The incident reminded me that he released a 3 month DVD program a few years ago.  I wanted it at the time but it was available only on a website that I wasn't sure I could trust, so I didn't buy it.  Last night I googled it and found a new package from an Amazon seller for $8.  Great price so I bought it.

It's called Project Hope.  3 DVDs, each to be done for a month.  Each DVD has 3 workouts - one is cardio, one strength, one balance.  Some reviews say it's beginner level, others say it's too hard for beginners, so I don't really know what to wear.  Probably beginner to intermediate level.  I have most of previous Richard's .DVDs, the cardio ones can with great music. I find them to be fun and happy.  This program is a bit different, in that it's not so dancey, but worth having just because I like Richard.

He's been mysteriously hibernating in his ho!e for about 3 years, not even seeing friends. It's all very odd.  Rumors of his being held hostage, mental illness, etc.  I hope he's ok.

Bopper, I love the TSV lantern.  I ordered a yellow one.
