Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

@Laura14, welcome home.  According to your Fitbit, you earned pizza, hoagies, and pretzels!  It sounds like you had a great time.  You earned that, tool!

Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

Hi everyone!  I'm here just have been busy.  This week should be much quieter than last.  Was busy over the weekend too.  I'm feeling pretty good and think it's time for me to slowly try and do some exercise to see how my back/hip and joints can take things.  So will get up tomorrow, Tuesday, and do a workout and see how I feel.  Keep your fingers crossed!

Laura - you go girl!  That was a lot of steps in NYC!  Good for you!

If I want to get up in the morning, I'd better head to bed.  G'night!

Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

Short ride class this morning and then I cat napped until time to get dressed for work.  Tired today but I rocked the bike.  Smiley Happy

@JudyL  go slow and see what you can do.  I had to test and back off again until I finally got to a place where I could be pretty regular with workouts again.

Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

Hey everyone, it's a beautiful cool day here 68 is just about perfect in my book.  I'm cleaning and moving stuff around, made a Good Will bag and now heading to a hair appt.   I want to try and get a workout in later though.  Will head to my GD's softball game tonight.

Laura wow that's a lot of steps, Congratulations and so glad you had a good time!  Good job on the bike today too!

Judy just take it slow and ease back in, I hurt my rotator cuff again, it must not have been totally healed so now upper body bothers it but I"ll do what I can..that's all you can ask of yourself.

Nomless how are ya doing?   I'm looking over home decor, in that mood again.  I love lanterns so I am looking over those this morning.

Well I better get going, have a great day everyone!

Cardio done.

Bopper, what nice 2eathervyou'llama have for the game later.  Have fun!

Judy, great news that you're feeling better.  Don't overdo it when you start some activity again.

Laura, you did great getting up for ride class.  I know it's difficult to get back in the swing at work after a vacation.  I hope you manage to do so and that your week is not too bad.

Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

Hey all, I got my groceries this morning and came home and mowed the front lawn, that's my cardio today..We have a large yard so it took a while....it's still nice here 73 with a light breeze.   I bought some Protein powder at Walmart called Slim quick and I got the chocolate and put it in my coffee .   It turned out like hot chocolate but I ended up having to use the blender as it was not mixed well using a spoon.  Low sugar too but I was reading about it online and it said it was really filling, well I had it an hour ago and I don't know if it's just me or what but my stomach is growling something terrible.  Granted I didn't eat much for breakfast so maybe that's why but I thought it would fill me up...It didn't.  I"ll have to try using in in water or almond milk instead of coffee.

I saw Shawn yesterday talking about her new bracelet, I loved it.  I didn't get it but loved it and she is so sincere talking about her faith and her ill father!  Bless her heart!

Guess I"ll have some lunch.

Have a great day everyone!

Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

Rest day for me although I did a lot of walking around this morning before work with my music.

Tomorrow, it's double duty day with short Ride and Power.  Got to get it in before the holiday weekend hits and my hiking.

I just made a chocolate drink this morning.  I make them sometimes to curb my chocolate cravings once in a while.  Super simple:  I just do almond milk, a banana, and unsweetened cocoa powder that you get in the baking aisle.  Not many calories, no sugar except for the banana, and it tastes like a real chocolate shake.   Thumbs up!

Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

Hi all! Very hot here in SoCal.  I have been running on the treadmill 2-3x/wk....usually.  Went this week for the first time....slow as it was hot in my garage.....2.5 mi in 33.5 min.  Got new running shoes and boy do they make a difference!
