Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

Bopper- thanks! I just got back from the hair salon. I hate sitting for so long- I'm too hyper

I'm not interested in the Fitbit either.

MickD- lucky, lucky to workout in the trails!

Tony14smoke- Glad you're the same way about the hair thing! Hey, it costs too much, takes way too much time, and I like the way it looks when my hairstylist blows it out, so if I don't mess it up too much the next day it still looks good. I can never get it to look like they do.

I don't know if they'll recognize me at the gym tomorrow morning. They are used to seeing me at the crack of dawn with my hair back in a clip-eyes half open-yawning for the first 1/2 hour... sounds attractive, huh? {#emotions_dlg.sleep} I should be more awake for weight training (yeah, right)!

Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

Felt great today. I walked for an hour with my dog.....it was a great day until I tripped after I got home wearing my Berkie sandals and twisted my big toe somehow and now can not bend it and it HURTS! So, I have a sprained right big toe....

Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

Good evening!

It's almost 10pm here on the West Coast. 7 WEEKS, 7 WEEKS TO GO and at this very moment I will be sitting in a plane at SFO waiting to take off on my journey to Africa to see my BF. I can hardly wait!

I just got home a little while ago - it's been a very long day. Didn't work out this morning but at lunch went on a 2.25 mile walk with a friend and was surprised that I worked up as good a sweat as I did. Was so sore from yesterday's workout when I woke up this morning tho. I knew I had pushed myself but didn't think I'd pushed myself that hard to be that sore!

Hope everyone had a good day. I'm off to bed. 5:00am comes around quick and I want to get a workout in before going to work.

Good night!

Judy

Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

Morning!

Up and crackin' early again today. Four miles outside, upper body weights until I was spent, 20 minutes on spin bike with some combination moves like jumping-jacks with shoulder-presses, burpees, push-ups, planks with leg raises and weights, etc.

Got groceries and went to post office...laundry and cleaning! Feels good to be home other than I have a hundred things to do for the move.

Hot and humid, bleck. I miss my 40's and 50's but it's summer, what can ya do.{#emotions_dlg.glare}

Have a great day everyone!!!

Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

gazelle, I tripped walking in Newport with my flip-flops on and stubbed my toe...right on Thames St. with traffic bumper to bumper so I know some people saw me. I was talking to my gf and she asked, "Are you bleeding"...and I said, "I don't know, I'm too embarrassed to look"...lol! {#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

This morning my big left toe is stiff and the area around the big toe joint very painful to walk on... guess it will take a few days to heal. I know it is not broken as I bent it after I injured it. I just sprained it SOMEHOW!!!!! Ironic thing is that tomorrow I go for my one year post op doctor visit after my double knee surgery a year ago... and I will be limping in rather than strutting proudly with my new knees{#emotions_dlg.sad} and having to explain that is is my big toe, not my bionic knees that hurt......

Gazelle and Patty, I hope your toes feel better soon. LOL. I'm sorry to laugh, but it is humorous, don't ya think?

Patty, the amount you accomplish early in the morning boggles my mind.

Judy, enjoy anticipating your trip!

Bopper, I got Alison's first fiction book at the library today over my lunch hour. I'll report back after I've read it.

Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

Hey all, I am not usually so busy as i was today. I did upper body and TG and then had to pick up my GD at school, her last day so I drove there early and walked the neighborhood for 45 minutes....then made her lunch. I got her a little bird house this morning to paint for her dad for FD and she decorated it with baseballs...and flowers,,,it was so cute....then took her home and played with Logan for a while.

My neighbor cornered me and we gabbed for 30 minutes out by the road until I finally had to tell her I had to get my dinner ready...

Nice day though only in the 60's but it's nice. 40's at night here and tomorrow only a high of 50! Pppmint want to come to my neck of the woods,,,nice and cool! You'd have to put up with lots of mosquito's though.

Nice to see so many posts...

nomless yes let me know if you like the book. I wonder if my library has it. i still don't have a library card...

Judy it's approaching fast...............so happy for you!

Gazelle77 it must be a toe thing going on. I jammed my toe into the front of the couch,,,ouchie...

MickD Yay............I like the workouts don't you? Was it the Beginner or Intermediate? His dvd doesn't move as fast as Rosalie's one.

Guess I"ll go outside for a while...have a good night everyone!

Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

Bopper- what a nice idea for your GD to paint the birdhouse for her dad! I love that idea! I used to walk while I was waiting for my kids to get out of school too. Sometimes I walked around the building so many times the gym teachers would laugh at me---"there she goes again"

Today, is my son's birthday, so I missed my workout at the gym, but I ran around like a nut getting balloons, cake, gifts etc. it was a busy day! Tomorrow, I'll be in NYC, so I'll be walking/running a lot.

Goodnight everyone- I'm off to bed- early, early start!
