Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

[ Edited ]

Hey everyone, well it was torrential rains here, and up the road almost catastrophic flooding and 60 sink holes, homes fell in, roads are falling, it's absolutely terrible.  But it isn't here, about 100 miles from here, we did get a ton of rain last night as soon as we were grilling out, but we got it done non the less.  My son and family came for dinner so that was nice.   Missing my younger son but it's hard for him to come here.

DrKelli glad mom is doing better and hopefully they figure out the rash, it may be the glue.

Safe travels to New Mexico too.

Judy I live your kind of life too, haha,  slow and steady!   I wish I could find a church, I can't seem to find one I really like either.  I am used to old school hyms, and sermans I can understand, now it's bands, and loud music and granted a lot of young folks now go which is wonderful, I just would rather it be like it was when I was a little girl.

foxxie enjoy your time in Canada.

MickD- my trail is under water so not sure when I can go back there and can you imagine the bugs with all this humidity and water... the wood ticks are terrible here too.

Nomless did you decide on the new kitties yet?

Not feeling it today, hard to get going.  Did about 25 mintes on TG, didn't even break a sweat, oh well some days are like that.

Hoping everyone has a good start to their new week!

Monday!  That never sounds right.......

@bopper That is too much rain!  The bugs will be horrific for you this summer.

Nice cool breezy day....the sun is hot though and I've got a dark tan on the back of my neck.....sunscreen there now!

Did a 34min trail run.

Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

Morning, it's sunny out and in the 50's but supposed to get into the 70's.  Yes MickD we will have so many bugs.   They said the first West Nile has been detected here in a dead Crow.   Great!!

Think I"ll walk this morning and then come home and wash the sheets and hang them out.

Not much more here today, which is good!

Have a good one!

Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

Morning, got my groceries and came home, not much else to do really.  The neighbor lady is having some ladies over tonight for wine, so I'll be going to her house.   Bringing my "jug"  LOL.....

MickD I know right!  Crazy weather.  We're okay here, it's up the road, and the little 12 year old boy passed away.  He had been trapped in his basement and was air lifted to Childrens hospital and he didn't make it.  So sad for his parents and the entire community.

I need to clean also.  Logan looks pretty spiffy with his grooming and he smells good too. I certainly don't want to take him on the trail now with the mud and water.  His little white paws are "well white"  Hahaha...

Waving to everyone!

Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

Happy Hump DaaaaaAY!!!!!!!

@bopper How awful for that little boy......and his family......such tragedy.  How does anyone get over that?

On a lighter note:

My son went for a run with me.....on his route.  OMG mostly up hill.  We only had to stop once midhill for a traffic light.  I hate stopping.  Anyway, I attacked the hills and beat him.

He has an app on his phone that he used.....which he will put on mine.

We did 3.19mi/36ish min/11min mile pace.

Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

Morning, sunrise is beautiful now, quite dewy outside.  Will walk in a little bit and it's only 50 outside.

MickD wow you were booking it, really moving!  I'm happy for you!!!  And how nice your son went with you!

The gathering last night at my neighbors was fun, I was there for 3 hours.   And only 4 of us showed up but we had a great time, sat on her deck in her beautiful backyard and then moved inside as the bugs came out.  It's nice to have neighbors you can always trust and they really are good friends to you.

Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

Bopper, how great that you have neighbors you enjoy hanging out with. Glad you enjoyed you evening. Love the summer watercol9r graphic.

Foxxie, thinking of you and hoping you're enjoying your Canada excursion.

Hi to Judy and DrKelli.

It's been hot and rainy here most of the week, but now a cool front has come through and temps will be in the 70s. Yay. So nicer.  Still dloudycwith rain expected but I don't mind.

I took a day off work just because, and I enjoyed it a lot. Going back today. We got a new employee a couple of weeks ago, and she is thrilled with the job. She loves putting the books away, etc. Seeing her enthusiasm makes me more aware of how much I don't like the job. I'm still disappointed, I really expected to love it. Oh, well.

Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

Just a quick fly by.  i'm in New Mexico for a couple more hours.  Got a lot done yesterday.  It is horribly hot and last night, the A/C in my room wasn't working very well.  They were at capacity and by the time I figured out it wasn't working, I was already in the shorts and tank top I was going to sleep in so I just suffered.  It's hot again today already, I can't wait until I get back and can wear shorts to work tomorrow.

Hope you are all well!

Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

@DrKelli Oh that sucks about the a.c.......and you're paying for it not to work!

@nomless New blood at a job is always exciting.....and enthusiasm is contagious!

@bopper you are so blessed to have great neighbors.....sounds like a good time!

Cleaned up a storm today!  My son's tv room and bedroom. He said - it looks like an episode of hoarders!.....he had legos everywhere and finally put them away.  Now it looks like a HS grad lives in the rooms instead of a small child!
