Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

Hello everyone, well I had to light a wood stove fire this morning.  It was either that or turn on the furnace.  Yes it's that cold and raining again.   We are way above rain fall totals for June.  Last night it stopped for about an hour and hubby and I went for a walk, just to get out of the house and we both wore winter fleece jackets and hats.  But then I say we aren't sweating like many are, I'd rather have this than that!

I did an hour of the reformer this morning, then started cleaning.  Made Peanut butter cookies.  I have been craving those, but I only eat 1, have to be good!  Have a nice roast in my crock pot with carrots and potatos for dinner, so we are all set.

I love to dance, when I was young and still.  I can cut a rug too LOL.....I love dancing more than my hubby, I've been known at wedding receptions to go on the dance floor alone ( well not alone , alone) but not with him.  Just cut loose with everyone else.

I'm watching HGTV right now.   I like the befores and afters.

Foxxie that was a long train, holy moly!

MickD good job on the treadmill.  I opted out of it today, I should be doing it as my step count is down but I wasn't feeling it today, oh well.

Nomless I saw the rower, wondered about the resistance too.  Do you still use the Nano gym?   I saw that a couple days ago with Chris Freytag over on Evine.

DrKelli have we asked you, are you a doctor of medicine?

Lucy We're not fogetting about you, check in sometime and let us in on all the shennigans.

Judy hi and waving to you too.

ANW on TV tonight, I"ll be watching, since my Tigers have the day off.

Later kids.

@bopper--no--I have my PhD in Safety Management.  I wasn't very creative with my board name.

@DrKelli Hey, you earned that PhD....you're a doctor!  That is a great achievement!  One of my fave instructors in grad school was a nice young guy around my age.  It was his last year of teaching and he was quitting to work on his PhD...was gonna take 5 years....I was like good luck....he would joke and ask when I was gonna get mine.....I didn't want to be a professional student in my 30's!

Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

Hi Bopper! I thought I would look and see what was going on- it has been forever since I've looked at this site- and there you were saying Hi to me! Thank you!

Hi nomless! You seem well. I laughed at your pylo eBay story. Such is life!

Hi JudyL! It seems that things are going ok for you. Good going on your weight loss. Your trip sounds great.

Hi mickd! Your foot is still a problem?

I really have nothing major to say. I'm still trying to get exercise in- I hate exercising but I do walk.

I tagged along to WW with my friend cos she didn't want to go alone. She has lost 50 pounds with more to go. I was a lifetime member and they let me back in- I'm not really doing points. I'm just moral support- but I do pay attention when I plan my monthly weigh-in!

I am impressed that you guys are still chatting. That is so great - long distance friends is a very nice thing!

Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

Brrrr!  It was cold last night...in the forties!  A frosty hello to everyone this morning.  I got the light blanket out last night.  I had the window open just a tad for fresh air, though.

Good to meet you @tony14smoke.  Always nice to meet another poster.

It's been a year since I quit WW.  Last night, I rejoined.  I had been thinking about it in the last month or so and when I saw two promos (one was half price for 3 months and the other was $33 for 6 months) last night, I joined the latter.  I did the math and 6 months is about the amount of time you need to give WW a good shot since it's usually a slow weight loss plan.  The regular price is $44 and change.

I've always said that during WW eating plans, I've always felt my best....after the first week, that is.  It's just that I get bored with it and I couldn't like their newest plan.  I'm willing look at it again with clean eyes.  Also, I'm gonna go to a different location.  Maybe new leaders will help.  I won't start until next week, though.  Dinner out for our anniversary is this weekend.  Last year, it was Jamaica, this year it's just dinner....a lot cheaper.

Body Sculpt and then Flexibility is my workout agenda for today.  Enjoy yourselves.

Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

Hey all, it was chilly here too foxxie, 40's, I pulled on my fleece sheet and blanket last night, it is good sleeping though and not running the AC is saving us money on our electrical bill.

Lots of WW talk, I do it too.  I am not a "member" per say as I have someone helping me but it is a slow process for sure, at least for me.  I still can't drop the 10 pounds I want to drop but I am trying to do the best I can and that is all I can ask of myself.

Tony I am so happy you saw my post, yes of course I think about you and miss your posts.  I'm glad this thread still has action on it, and you are so much a part of that, don't you ever forget that!

DrKelli that is a huge accomplishment, congratulations to you on getting your PhD.

Nomless how is the week going, almost in July and that is hard to believe! We aren't having any warmth at all, so for us its going to be a short summer if at all.  I still say though I"ll take this over 90's and up.

I walked this morning and did a short dog walk.  My neighbors are sill banging and clanking and beeping.  So tired of it, and trucks blocking my driveway like it doesn't exist.  Now they are pouring concrete so that truck is back and forth.

MickD hope your having a good day too!

Peace Out!

@tony14smoke Hey, stranger!  Nice to see your post!  You've got a great  memory.....I have to go easy on my foot still.  No trails or uneven surfaces or hills.  I am just happy if I can jog 3-4x/wk. on the treadmill.  You're a good doobie for hangin with your friend and giving her support!  Keep posting!!!!!

Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

Good morning, everyone!  Looks like a good weather day.  Tomorrow, not so much which is the day that I have to drive farther than usual.  My Red Hatter luncheon is tomorrow and thunderstorms are expected.  I hope it's not too bad.

I think I'm going to make this a pedicure day.  With all of the Walking that I do, along with jumping around doing other exercising, my callouses built up quicker.

I'll do my workout at home or skip it.  I did quite a bit yesterday.  Even got some Zumba in.  That instructor is so much fun.  I forget that I'm exercising sometimes.  I think he throws stuff in that I don't consider Zumba moves must, hey, I love it.  His Zumba class is very popular probably more because of his personality.

Today is the first day of the rest of our lives so make it a great day.

Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

Hello everyone, I did the usual grocery shopping today, lost my list in Walmart and had only been in there less than 10 minutes.  Re-traced my steps and do you think I could find it, nope?  I spent 10 minutes just looking for it.  What the heck, even looked on the shelves of the stuff I was looking at but nope.  Oh well, I don't even know yet if I forgot something as I havent' "needed" it yet LOL

We're getting more rain this afternoon/tonight  1/4" again and tomorrow.  I did a dog walk when I got back though.

foxxie hope your luncheon isn't rained on.   Be careful!  A pedicure sounds wonderful, I"ve had like 1 in my entire life!  Yup I know, sad!

Has anyone heard of spinach powder?  Seems nobody has, and I have a recipe where it calls for it.  I haven't gone to the organic food store to look but 2 other large stores hadn't heard of it.

Have a good one everybody!
