Re: Welcome to the July Exercise Thread

Ran on the treadmill Tuesday and today.  2.5 miles/33 minutes.  It has been so oppressively hot here....I finally decided to put an ocillating fan in the garage....just too dang hot!

Re: Welcome to the July Exercise Thread

I made it!!! My hotel is next to an auto body shop which is why I rolled around on the floor with laughter. I also took every insurance Hertz offered and had the girl laughing at my transportation woes. So over it!

My first stop was Target where i literally stopped in the aisle. There were huge bottles of Jack Daniels and Jameson along with my favorite Kahlua and other alcoholic beverages. I love this state! If i drunk post at any point, I sorry. Smiley Wink

Seriously, my prayers to sis and doggie. 💜 Intentions always count and thanks for the well wishes. 😀

Re: Welcome to the July Exercise Thread

Hi, Mick, it's good to see you.

Laura, you got there!  Now relax and enjoy.

Judy, it's good to see you again, too.  It sounds like you're feeling better.  I hope you get cooler temps this weekend.

Bopper, you're in competition with yourself, and you're winning!  Good job!

I did cardio today.  And lots of errands.  It's really hot here, top - ugh.

Bopper, I'm so sorry about your sister's pup.  I hope his recovery goes ok and that he adjusts to his limited sight. Poor guy.

Re: Welcome to the July Exercise Thread

It was really hot here this week, so no outside exercising for me, but I did ride my stationary bike every eveneing and also did 10 minutes of weights(10lbs). It felt very good, I did my bike for 30 minutes each night, today it is only suppsoed to be 71 degrees so I think my husband and I will go for a 2 mile bike ride this evening!

Re: Welcome to the July Exercise Thread

Happy Friday everyone, Woo Hoo the weekend is here, no don't go to bed on Sunday because them Monday will come!  LOL

I did the bike, treadmill, and Total Gym today and just got back from a dog walk on the trail.  I haven't been on it in like 2 weeks, either too wet and buggy or too hot and Logan gets very warm with his fur but today 61 degrees and breeze, windows open, curtains blowing, Pandora playing and I'm good.   Laura maybe I need some of your Adult beverages now  LOL.....too funny your stories are very entertaining and I sure hope you enjoy every minute of your vacation!

MickD glad to see you again and on the treadmill, it's been really hot for us too.  90 plusl is warm for my area if you remember, I shovel a lot in the winter LOL

Nomless thank you, I hope my sisters dog is doing better today.  I did call to check on him but she didn't answer so maybe she couldn't get to her phone.  She is literally right next to him so he doesn't fall or bump into anything.

CANDLEQUEEN, seems hot almost everywhere!   I love my stationary bike, the Proform Xbike, ride it every day mulitiple times a day, just love mine.  My regular outside bike I have been on but not so much in the last week, just too hot.  I hope this weekend hubby and I can go somewhere with our bikes.  It's only going to be in the 70's so that's perfect.  He's more of a slow rider than me but even slow is good, better than sitting on the couch doing nothing.  He has terrible sciatica and the seat bothers him.  We've done the gel seat covers, bigger seats, nothing helps but he's a good sport about it and tries.

I'm kind of sick of all this Christmas stuff lately, I mean it's nice stuff, not saying that but I'm really not interested.  Love Fall, that's my time of year!

Well waving to everyone!

Re: Welcome to the July Exercise Thread

Went to Galena to finally stock up on jewelry and see if a store I remembered had a sketch I fell in love with a few years ago and they did! Plus gorgeous earrings.

I literally spent two hours picking out my favorites and then made my way to checkout super excited. Give the woman my card. She can't get a receipt. It's a new chip card so I hand over my debit card which I never do but figured it would be easier since Galena is a little town with limited connectivity. Still didn't work. She swipes my credit card again and by this point, I know from work, it's going through just not on the store end.

I stop her after four tries, thank her and then leave empty handed since I didn't want to hand over the last of my cash. I literally cried on the way back to the car. And sure enough, when I get to the hotel to see my email, it authorized four times and I'm going to guess once on the debit card too. Now I have that mess to clean up when I get home and nothing to show for it.

I wish I could just go home now so I could cry in my own bed plus go get my car's a/c fixed but I have three more days of this. And my card is fine.

Walmart had no issue. I know I'm nowhere near my limit and I pay it off every month. Their machine or the operator was faulty. And of course the one time I happen to be in town after two years of waiting.

Then I come back to the hotel and the microwave won't turn off after I make dinner. You just can't make my month up. Crashed car, walk two weeks to work, get car back with broken a/c, pay for upscale airport transfers, plane delayed, credit card quadruple charged plus debit with no sale, hotel room issues...😞.

I did walk over 14,000 steps so at least it was a workout. Tomorrow I'm off to hike the woods. I need to get lost for a bit or jump into the Mississippi River.

Nice to see everyone is working and biking their butts off, literally. And I hope you all are having a much better start to your weekend. Enjoy! 😃

Re: Welcome to the July Exercise Thread

I was a slug today,  no workout.

Laura, I can't believe how things are going for you.  What a mess with your cc, and your didn't even get the stuff you wanted. Awwwww, bummer.  The least the drive to Galena is a nice one.  Can you maybe go back tomorrow and show them the charge went through?? Whatever you do, have fun.

Bopper, what a great day you had, a cool one.  It sounds great.  Here it was rainy.  That was OK,  we need it, but it was dark all day and made me sleepy.  I tuned to Q a few times today, and every time the throws were on.

Re: Welcome to the July Exercise Thread

Hey all,  It's another cool one, 47 when I got up...sorry for those sweltering in the heat!   It's 70 now so  darn near perfect.

I don't have a formal workout in just cleaning and straightening, and dusting and laundry.

Laura my goodness if you didn't have bad luck you'd have no luck at all..I's so sorry all this happened to you and you could get your purchases yet het charged multiple times.  What a headache that has to be.  You need a good hike in the peaceful forrest!  Be careful though, the way things are going we don't need to send out a possee for you!

Nomless I like the Christmas flocked tree today.  WIsh I could afford the 6.5 foot one but not in the cards, 3 and the 5 footer is almost too small and I don't have $200 for that either..

Hubby is working until 3 and then I imagine he'll want to chill for a while, we have no plans.  He did pick me 2 quarts of blueberries last night and hopefully more later.  I am not a picker, kills my back and I hate bugs and dirt.  "I'm a Princess you know"..  Hahaha

Have a good one everybody!

Re: Welcome to the July Exercise Thread

Hi, Bopper,  I hope you had a nice day.  I didn't feel well today so I didn't do anything either.  Have you figured out your dress and shoes for the wedding?   The TSV tree looks nice. The shape is very nice.

Laura, did you go hiking today?  I hope it was pleasant.  I hope you can figure out a way to get things you wanted at the shop in Galena.
