Re: Welcome to the July Exercise Thread

[ Edited ]

@Iluvlucy  That makes me so angry I am literally shaking reading it.  People think apologies fix a situation like that.

If your dog isn't trained on voice command, which most aren't, stop being so (insert $#@! expletive here) lazy and put a freaking leash on your dog before you go outside.  Leave a chain by the front door if you are that over it.

BURNS me to no end.  There is zero excuse for that.  Totally preventable with a responsible pet owner.  My whole dog ownership days, I held down a full time job, along with caretaking family members and keeping up a fitness schedule plus travel and NEVER was my dog outside of my control.  Not once.  Pure and utter laziness.

I have half a mind to go beat her up for you @Iluvlucy or at least sic some strange dogs on her and see how she likes it.

Okay, deep breath.  I did a walk around my neighborhood for the first time last night since I lost my dog.  I was too lazy to jump in the car and go to the park.

Ran into one dog walker with a huge dog who crossed the other side of the street to make me more confortable.  @Iluvlucy's neighbor, take notes. I still didn't hit my 10,000 steps so I walked around my house until I did.

I am exhausted today.  TGIF.  I may go to the park tonight or this may be my rest day.  Haven't decided yet.  I am burning up left over vacation days so I am taking Mondays off right now.  Three day weekends.  I may check out some of the other gym classes this weekend while I have some extra free time.

Have a happy Friday everyone and offer still stands to take that woman out.  Smiley Mad

Re: Welcome to the July Exercise Thread

Holy cow, Lucy!  That is so frightening!  That type of situation also makes me furious.  There is a leash law for a reason.  I'm fuming for you!

Those humidity levels are CRAZY!  I'm glad I live in a very dry state sometimes.

I did Zumba yesterday and will do weight training today.  This week was kind of a bust exercise wise because I was in New Mexico for 3 days and well, just lazy. I'm going to start memorizing the LaBlast routines for next month.  I have 3 weeks for 3-4 songs.  My brain better kick it is all I have to say!

Hi to all of you and I hope you have a great weekend!

So glad the dog incident turned out ok, Lucy. A blessing Lucy wasn't there. Labus usually aren't so aggressive.

Have a good TGIF, everyone.

@Iluvlucy. Very scary about the dog....I would've tore into the owner....what if it had been a child?  Sending healing thoughts to your DS.  Please take a pic of the counter when everything is all said and done!

Sounds like everyone is enjoying summer!  Unseasonably humid here.

Did 3 mi/36 min on the treadmill.

TGIF everyone!

Good morning, ladies.  It's a beautiful day here and the forecast looks good for a few days.  Minor negative is that we will have to water the plants instead of Mother Nature, lol.

Omg, @Iluvlucy, I would have been screaming.  That is my worst nightmare and one of the reasons I stopped walking in my neighborhood....bad dog owners.  Glad you didn't get bit.  It looks like everything is going well with the house and I'm sure your son will recover without sacrificing time in school.  STUFF!  Don't you get tired of negative stuff?  Thank God there is good stuff to balance it out.

Oh, I'm feeling so out of my league with you ladies walking nine and ten miles at a time, lol.  I'm gonna be like you guys when I grow up, lol.

My lunch with my Red Hatters was very nice yesterday.  Everybody acts like you're their friend from next door.  One lady was 90 years old and drove herself there.  I doubt if  I'll be doing that, lol.  Such agility in her body when she walked, too.  I notice that I do that....look at senior people to see if they've had knee or hip replacement.  Strange, I know, lol.

I don't think I blew my diet too badly.  This was a breakfast and lunch cafe so I ordered a veggie omelet.  But it came with hash browns and two pancakes.  Well, my plan was just to eat the omelet and take the rest home.  Liar, liar, pants on fire.  Everybody kept raving about how delicious the pancakes were.  Well, I had to taste them and they were!  I ate half of that and half of my omelet.  Unfortunately, when I got home, I ate the rest of the pancakes.  Couldn't help myself.

Zumba! this morning and my walk.  Have a nice day, ladies.

Did my walk in the park last night. I love being alone in the woods. Except the insects that buzz my ears. They need to die.

This morning did a 25 minute run and then did 45 reps each of all my Body gym exercises upper and lower and then stretched it out. I am feeling very zen right now and it's a natural high. Smiley Happy

Time to figure out what to do with the rest of the day. Have a great day yourself!

Alone in the woods @Laura14?  Sounds scary, lol.  Glad you enjoyed it, though.

@Mmsfoxxie  Most people stick to the paved trails.  I like the solitude.  It's a big community park in the middle of our neighborhoods so it's not as out there as you might think.  Still keep my guard up though.  If I was a bad man, perfect place to do bad.  Smiley Sad

Re: Welcome to the July Exercise Thread

Hey all, it's been quite a couple of days and I'll be honest I haven't gone through all the posts although I saw Lucy had a bad scare with dogs and I'm with Laura, no excuses and it grinds my gears really bad.  I'm so glad you are alright and still praying for DS...

My husband had a heart attack late Thursday night, so I've been out of the loop so to speak.  He's doing okay though and I'm back at home with Logan for the night and he is resting at the hospital.  Has a procedure tomorrow morning so praying that goes well for him.  I tell ya you are NOT ever prepared for this and it isn't text book for sure.   I'm exhausted but you know when your tired but can't sleep, I'm at that point.   Just glad to be sitting here with Logan and relaxing the best I can while I know he is in good care there.

If you wouldn't mind a prayer or 2, I'd appreciate it!

  Until tomorrow!

Re: Welcome to the July Exercise Thread

Oh, @bopper, I'm so sorry. I hope he's doing ok and that tomorrow's procedure goes well. What a shock. You certainly have prayers from me. When you can, please let us know how he's doing. I'm thinking of you, girlfriend. Get some rest.
