Re: Welcome to the July Exercise Check In

Please keep the thread going. It helps motivate.

This weekend I ran 16 miles. 6 on Sat and 10 on Sun. I have taken the last 3 days off, it has been really hot. I am hoping to run tonight, after work.

I am running the SF Giants Race in Sept and I am running the Delta Harvest Run in Sept too. I have to find one for Aug still. It keeps me motivated. It has been so hot the last 3 days, I am hoping for a cool down soon. Thanks for asking Smiley Happy

Re: Welcome to the July Exercise Check In

It's Friday!!! One more week to go...and we can get out of this hotel room!!

I sure wish more people would join in, and I'll be honest...I don't want it to be where we just come, post our work-out, and leave. I guess I feel like I can do that on my calender. I'm a people-person, so personally, I enjoy a little more info than your daily work-out and if others just want the work-out post, I'll probably stop posting as that would bore me to tears...lol.

But majority rules, so be honest with what you guys really want and I'll oblige one way or the t'other. Wink I have plenty of friends in real life that I interact with on a daily basis...but, I do feel like I've gotten to know some of you here and I do enjoy that. I rarely even visit other forums anymore, can go weeks without even looking, let alone post anywhere else. I still miss cosmetics and think of her...and it still makes me very sad.

Today was fun!!! My one gf is Greek...need I say more?! She was hysterical!!! So loud and would act like she was dying...she kept saying, "Oh my, Oh my, I'm too old for this(same age as I am)...I'm dying here...ay, yi, yi. I'm shaking, uncontrollably, this can't be normal!"...haha...but SUPER loud so the entire place could hear her and they were all laughing too! But she is pretty fit, she walks like a speed-demon and has a decent 5k time as well.

We did the ARC for 15 minutes to warm-up, then did a full-body weight work-out focusing on major muscle groups with some planks, squats, burpees, squats w/weight punches, planks, etc., in between. Then did rower, rope-climb(they loved that) and bikes to finish it off. It took us over an hour and a half, but some of that was showing them how to do the exercises, getting the weight right, etc.

Waving to everyone...go Deb, run like the wind!
