Re: Welcome to the July Exercise Check In

I did NOT sleep well last night. But I made myself hop on the Pilates machine (even if only for 20 minutes) this am before work. I need to take the pups for a walk (it's cool here -- in JULY - what is happening?!?!?!), but I need to just rest for a few minutes, first. I'm going to see if hubby will go with me and help wrangle them. Lol. Tomorrow is no work out. Bummer. I hope you all have a nice Friday evening! Hubby and I are staying in and eating leftovers -- you thought even were party animals, and here we are proving you wrong. Haha!! Bye, all!

Re: Welcome to the July Exercise Check In

Have a fun weekend, Future.

Patty, good work! You just keep getting better and better.

Hi, Bopper and Mick and SF, I hope you have a good weekend, too.

As for me, not much to tell. Did I mention I had to get Coco back on meds? Poor kitty got sick again. She's being a trooper, putting up with me shoving a pill down her throat. Her simultaneous annoyance and tolerance makes me laugh.

I haven't decided if I'll do cardio or weights tonight. Oh, I saw on Collage that Coffey-Meyer has a new DVD -- heavy weights, designed for sets of 8 reps.

Enjoy, everyone. TGIF.

Re: Welcome to the July Exercise Check In

nomless, does Coco have a UTI? I hope she's feeling better! I thought Collage was out of business?!

We went out for dinner last night, I had Cedar Plank Salmon and dh had a Mahi-mahi and sirloin combo...it was delicious! Then we went to PetSmart and bought Lucy new toys.

Oh, we went to to Ulta for my hair products...if anyone doesn't know, July is Ulta's hair-care sale. My big Redken jugs are 1/2 price and Paul Mitchell is buy one get one free! That's a pretty big sale.

Re: Welcome to the July Exercise Check In

Patty, yes, Coc has a UTI again. The first round of meds didn't do the job, so she has to do another 2 weeks of meds. And,yes, Collage is back. They were purchased and brought back to life. I hope they can get their audience back. I should do a post here and let others know. New look but the same features we loved. Thanks for letting us know about the Ulta sale. You scored!

Re: Welcome to the July Exercise Check In

Morning all! Windows all steamed over...another day in the sauna. Walked Lucy 2 miles this morning...trying to decide if I should run, this stupid tendonitis is really giving me fits.

Yesterday dh and I went to the gym, I did some legs and abs then did the ARC and bike, dh kicked my butt, I wasn't my usual though. Then we walked Lucy when we got home and her and I did some sprints. Oh, and I did laundry in the hotel here so I was up and down these stairs at least 30 times.

Going to church this morning, have old friends in town so that will be nice seeing them.

Hi tony, we had rain yesterday but looks like it's clearing up.

nomless, how is Coco today?

FUTURE, I saw a post on fb that made me think of you..."Work Hard, Nap Hard"...lol. You sure earn yours though!

bopper, how's the back? Mine is better today but I think some was from the weights I did on Friday and it being my time of the month.

Waving to everyone...miss some of you. MickD, Mtnbikegirl, Canine, Vonlam, HW, and all the others that have stopped by over the years.

Re: Welcome to the July Exercise Check In

Hi, all!! Yesterday was a long day. I went to bed kind of early last night, and we got up and did church today. Then a NAP. Shocker!! Patty, loved that FB post. Smiley Wink I had to work for a while, then went for an hour long walk today. It was hot, but good to get some fresh air after feeling cooped up this week. Can't wait til it cools down and I can walk these pups every day. This week will be a long one. Gotta buckle down and get after it. Ok, enjoy what's left of your weekend, girls!

Re: Welcome to the July Exercise Check In

Happy Monday!!

We had a long day yesterday, had lunch after church with 4 other couples....had a blast! Lots of laughs. I dropped dh off at hotel, then I went grocery shopping.

Bad night's sleep{#emotions_dlg.glare} but great morning work-out.{#emotions_dlg.thumbup1} I ran to the gym(and back), lifted upper but more like a CrossFit work-out(did clean and jerks, snatches, dips) mixed in with bench, tri's, delts, etc...like to mix compound moves in there. Gets my heart-rate up and makes me sweat!

I mixed up my reps too....would go super slow, hold it in the positive position until I was shaking, then pump out a couple of real fast reps at the end. Then I'd do some really fast reps finished off by super slow and hold it until I was shaking.

You know you worked hard when your abs are sore and you didn't do abs.{#emotions_dlg.thumbup}

Hope everyone had a great weekend!! I'm eating and hydrating then will take Lucy out even though it's so humid I'll have to carry her to the park, let her run around there, then carry her back.
