Re: Welcome to the January Exercise Thread

Hope you're doing okay Tony!! You might be waiting for a while for the treadmill review....haha...we're having a heck of a time deciding where to put it. I had planned on it going in the 3rd bedroom but everyone is saying it's too heavy for a second floor. I can't have it in my living area...I just can't do it. There is one place I'd allow it down here but it doesn't have a cable hook-up close to it. We really haven't had much time to get back to it.

The Memorial was so buys today, had to set up more tables and chairs with people standing there waiting to sit down and eat! Doc appt went 'okay'...she wants me to have an endoscopy. She'll be the one that follows me every 6 months with my breast MRI's and mammo's. I like her a lot so that's good, have had great luck with my doctors so far since we've moved here.

I went for a run this morning(did some yoga stretches too) then took Lucy for another 2-mile run when I got home a little while ago but wore the wrong shoes and my left foot hurts. Plus I ran around like crazy at the luncheon, was sweating bullets...lol!

nomless...hope your day wasn't as busy. I remember you mentioning those dvd's before.

bopper...you're MIA too!

Waving to everyone!!!

Re: Welcome to the January Exercise Thread

Hi Everyone. The storm is winding down for central Mass. The Cape is still getting hit- they have winds, waves and snow. Five houses were condemned there today! We got 33 inches of light fluffy snow- so not so bad. We have power, are warm and have no complaints! There was a statewide travel ban so that made it easy for the plows. hopefully, back to normal tomorrow. Patty- send the treadmill here if younhave no room!

Re: Welcome to the January Exercise Thread

Nomless- I am gonna look for those geese. Early spring would be great, especially after 33 inches of snow today. It always surprises me tho to hear birds tweeting during a snow storm. where are they and why aren't they snuggled in nests?

Re: Welcome to the January Exercise Thread

33" at one time is a good amount tony! I see they lifted the travel ban. My gf got a 2 flight out that she had to cancel on Monday.

I had a sore throat last night so sent the coach a message that I was still coming but would bring my wipes in case I was coming down with something. She had to cancel the first 2 classes because of sickness so thought I should stay home...good call...lol.{#emotions_dlg.unsure}

I feel fine now though so think it's just allergies. Went for a 4-mile run then did a wod at home...handstands, jump-rope, push-ups, and kettlebell...my kettle-bell is too light but I made the best of it...I used one of dh's heavier weights for goblet squats.

Blue skies here so I'm going to head out someplace...haven't decided where yet...lol! I did my chores this morning, woke up at 4:45 again...ay. Anyway, so I might just go play.Wink

Haha...I just realized I used my dh's name above so had to change it to "dh"...that's the second time I've done that. One time I didn't notice it until after I posted it so had to edit it...did it with my son's name too.

Hope everyone is okay, sure is quiet here. I'll take a break too if it gets too slow.

Nomless I'd love it if we had early Spring....bring on the Geese.......{#emotions_dlg.thumbup}

Pppmint glad your sore throat is better, so much stuff going around. You still had a good workout at home. {#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

Re: Welcome to the January Exercise Thread

Oh, dang, I need to remember to copy my post before submitting...I just wrote a long one and it got lost and didn't post.

Let's see...

Tony, what a relief you didn't lose power. I hope you were able to get to work without too much difficulty today.

Patty, best wishes to you, I hope you're not getting sick. It's great that you are liking the docs you've found so far. Prayers re: the endoscopy. I hope you and Lucy are enjoying your nice day.

Bopper, at least you have a relatively warm day before another blast of winter. Are you and Logan getting outside and enjoying it? Have fun making cookies, yum!

Hi to Future and Judy and Cater and all our friends.

As for workouts, I've been doing Tony's resistance and cardio w/o's. I feel like I should mix it up with other stuff, but I'm to lazy to swap out the DVD....it takes a long time to load. I haven't gone over to the gym this month, I bet it's busy with new people now.

My cat Shadow is still mad at me for not having any more vacation days. He scolds me (talks to me in a voice that sounds annoyed), then gets cuddly and clingy, as though holding on to me will keep me at home. Poor guy. I wish I could stay home!

But here I am at work.....and I'd better get back at it. I'll keep you posted on the ducks and geese. After work last night, I saw two more flocks heading north.

Re: Welcome to the January Exercise Thread

The Earth sneakers are getting great reviews and feedback on a TSV thread. I've been looking for new ones so I bought 3pairs. Yikes. I hope I like them, or it will cost a bunch to return. Am a little concerned that it says the heel is 1.5" - I want flat....they sure don't look like the heel is 1.5". Hope I'm right. Those who have received them say they're lightweight, which I also want. Don't like heavy shoes.

Re: Welcome to the January Exercise Thread

Awww, thanks nomless. I wish you could stay home with Shadow too!

Oh yes, Lucy is something.{#emotions_dlg.glare} We had our FOURTH ER vet trip yesterday because of her eating stuff she's not supposed to!

She ate one of those silicone gel packs that come in new clothes and such. I bought dh a new travel pillow for Valentine's Day and didn't expect any to be in there, pulled it out and I heard something drop so I looked and found one of the packets on the floor....well, apparently there were two of them and goofball here got the other one and ate it!

Remember when they had to make her throw up in Fairfax and the vet said it was like cutting open the belly of a Great White Shark, well they said the same thing yesterday...the vet came out laughing and said it was like a Treasure Hunt in there...acorn(the top of the acorn completely intact), rock, the gel crystals, etc. Ugh, I don't know what to do with her, she eats EVERYTHING!!!! And she's so fast!

59* in here again this morning, cats were not happy.

Re: Welcome to the January Exercise Thread

Crazy busy again today, grrrr. I'm eating lunch, time for a short post.

I'm still lovin' the TSV shoes. The brown is a great color....more taupe than brown, IMO. I sure hope they fit true-to-size......I'm going to be sad if they don't.

Patty, that little Lucy! My goodness. What a worry that she keeps finding stuff to eat that she shouldn't. I hope she's OK. She doesn't need surgery to get that stuff out of her, does she?

Shadow was really mad at me this morning. First he yelled me, then he got all pout-y and hundled in a corner with his unhappy face on. Fir was a little spikey, a sure sign that he's not happy. I'll try to make it up to him tonight.

Temps back in the 30's, a cloudy day.

I'll do a resistance workout when I get home.

Have a good day everyone.
