Re: Welcome to the January Exercise Thread

Bopper, why aren't you sleeping? I hope you're feeling OK.

Patty, yea that the treadmill confusion turned out OK. I hope you and DH like it. A burpee is worth only 4 points??!! Yikes. I hate burpees. You do 'em to rest, and for me, they're hard work!! LOL. Enjoy the party.

I hope everyone has a good weekend. TFIG!! I have tons of stuff to do at home this weekend, but I don't mind. I'm looking forward to being at home, putzing around. Guess I'm a nester at heart.

Tonight will be Tony Sculpt. I did the cardio w/o last night.

Re: Welcome to the January Exercise Thread

Hey all, Happy Friday....dreary day here but at least it's in the 30's and for us that's a heat wave! Had to be careful walking Logan in the neighborhood because it's pretty slick but I have those Get A Grips for my boots and that helps. Did the treadmill today and the TG.

Pppmint finally your Treadmill is there. Yayyyyyyyyyy I hope you get it together this weekend. Have fun at your party...You sure did great at class today...Burpees aren't fun either but I know you don't mind them...

Nomless I hope your weekend lets you have some relaxing time...Monday comes too soon.

Judy did you get your Body Gym yet? Let us know how you like it.

Well not much new here since yesterday so have a wonderful rest of your day!

Re: Welcome to the January Exercise Thread

Hi, all!! I had a super busy day for Saturday. Lifted heavy at the gym -- upper body plus some dead lifts into rows, which I love - and spin. Had a bunch of errands to run, came home and got ready, lunch with a friend, more errands, a long mtg, then home to make dinner. Hubby and I just got done watching some tv and now I'm about to take a hot bath. And then go to bed. Smiley Happy Church and maybe a walk with the dogs tmrw. And a NAP -- I obviously didn't have time for one today. Smiley Happy Happy Weekend, all!

Re: Welcome to the January Exercise Thread

Bopper - was hoping to try out the body gym today, Saturday, but woke up to a kitty that I had to take to the vet - she ended up ok - then errands and then I started not feeling real well. Will, hopefully, get to it on Sunday.

Re: Welcome to the January Exercise Thread

Hey everyone. Busy weekend here too, the party Friday night was so much fun, we had a blast. I think I'm going to do the same thing with the Command wives. It started out bad though, I got lost going to pick up my gf...and I mean lost. To the point where I was almost in tears and ready to go home. It was pouring rain, dark, I've never been to that part of the city before in my life, and I was overdue on you-know-what, so not in the mood to be flustered and irritated. I had no idea she lived that far from me.

The Memorial was very nice yesterday, sad, of course, but a wonderful tribute. DH shot a blackberry across the room into a group of ladies at the reception, and I shot a blueberry. Seriously, you can't take us anywhere.{#emotions_dlg.blink}{#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

I'm teaching Sunday School this morning so need to study my lesson again, have to have it fresh in my mind. Going to take Lucy out for some exercise too.

DH has to catch a bus tomorrow morning at 3:30...going to Arlington for a funeral. Starting the week off rough.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend!!

Re: Welcome to the January Exercise Thread

Hey all, not much going on here....hubby painted the ceiling in our bathroom and sanded some areas so I am cleaning up that mess...so much sand paper dust and he got some patching compound on my floor so scraping that off...

Pro Bowl tonight is on our agenda.

Judy yes I hope you feel well enough to use it today...and hope you like it too.!

Pppmint getting lost in the dark in an area you are unfamiliar with isn't fun at all. Glad you finally found the house and ended up having a great time. Enjoy SS today and hoping you can have some fun/relaxing time at home today.

Nomless I am a home body too, always have been. Enjoy today! Nomless I just had that one night I couldn't sleep...I'm fine thanks for asking!

Well the vacuum is once again calling my name.

Have a wonderful Sundayfun Day!

Re: Welcome to the January Exercise Thread

Happy Monday!! So much bad weather! DH had that funeral at Arlington today so we've been up since 3...I did lay in bed though and rested so not like the other day when I actually got up at 2:45 for the day. He said the weather was terrible...rain, then snow, then back to rain...they froze with no coats on other than their uniforms. But, of course, honored to do it.

I surprised myself today at CF. Given the time of month and lack of sleep, I was expecting to bomb, but I more than held my own and I hate rings and the rope and we did both...but Wed I'll probably be a big dud...lol. I saw some veins popping out today that I haven't seen in a while so you know I love that which motivates me!

I ran Lucy before class and noticed I felt better than I have so I think my body is adapting. However, there was one point today where I had to stop because I didn't feel right and do some deep breathing in through my nose and out my mouth.{#emotions_dlg.unsure} It just hits you before you even realize how darn tired you are!

I have another Memorial tomorrow and a 2nd meeting with the surgeon about that lump in my throat. Stopped and got groceries after CF for my dish I'm bringing and dinner tonight, even though I went yesterday too.{#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

Hope everyone is staying safe in the storm...Tony, I think you're in it! I can't remember about nomless, cater, or Canine...possibly them too. Stay safe everyone!!!

Re: Welcome to the January Exercise Thread

I guess I was MIA over the weekend. I had a lot going on, and now today, work is crazy. A co-worker is out today today, so I'm doing her stuff as well as mine. Busy day.

I feel badly for those in the path of the storm. Here we have a sunny day, temp is nearly 60. Lots of people are outside running, walking, enjoying the day. I know it won't last, but today, it does feel like spring.

Patty, Dh/you are going to lots of funerals/memorials. So sad. Prayers for you re: the med. appt. tomorrow. It's fun to hear how you're rockin' CF. Way to go, girl! Sorry you got lost the other night in the dark and rain. So spooky. I'm glad it turned out OK.

Hi, Bopper, did you get things cleaned up after the painting. One project always leads to another, isn't that crazy.

I'm not sure what w/o I'll do tonight. Maybe Tony, or Katami, or maybe I'll do cardio....it would be nice to walk outside, but it will be dark by the time I get home. I saw the P90X3 infomercial last night when I couldn't sleep. Yea, I want that, too. I gorgot about it...as I recall, it came out about a year ago, and I hoped that Q would bring Tony in to sell it, but that never happened.

Sending good wishes to those in the path of the storm. Stay inside and just hang out for a couple of days. Fingers crossed you don't lose power.

Re: Welcome to the January Exercise Thread

Hi All! Yes Patty- I am in the storm! The prediction is for 2 feet-yippee! I gotta work Wednesday so hoping it'll be over. Also hoping not to lose power. But what can ya do? The news coverage is relentless already. No one allowed on roads- gotta have my hospital ID if going to work during state of emergency. Nothing new here. All is good. My quiet life continues. My workout life continues to be whatever- somedays nothing other does something. No routine- maybe I'll get some motivation but none yet. I'm glad to read that all is pretty good with all of you. I do keep up by reading. Nomless- it never fails when you wash your car! Patty- I'll be waiting for your treadmill review. Bopper- can't believe DS is ready for baseball. Judy- glad you are doing well. Future- busy but napping? Stay safe and warm!

Re: Welcome to the January Exercise Thread

I did Tony's resistance w/o tonight. Tony, will be thinking of you. I hope you stay warm, don't lose power. I keep forgetting to mention this: the past couple of weeks, I've been seeing ducks and geese migrating back north. It's very early for them to be doing that, so am wondering if spring will come early. Birds are rarely wrong. The usually come through here in March, not January.
