Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Beautiful weather in Midwest. Back at the gym but taking it slow. Thanks for the push. Enjoy your weekend

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Good morning everyone.  Going to be hot and humid here this weekend.  But where I’ll be (Vegas), it will be beyond hot, lol.

I’m debating whether to go to Zumba this morning.  Since we have to be at the airport a couple of hours early, it might be a good time for walking....until the flight comes.  It’s amazing how much you have to pack just for a couple of days!  Only need a carryon, though.  Saves $25 luggage fee and going over for luggage p/u.

Have a great weekend!

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Good Saturday morning to you, just finished Rosalie Brown's Supreme Total Gym workout.  What a great workout alternating between upper and lower body.  I am constantly changing my level though, she does not because she's a machine, but I pause and change my level.  I really like it.  I have 7 days straight this week on my TG..and walking too.

foxxie enjoy Vegas, and yes it will be hot.    We are very muggy....My hair is wild!!  Hahah I don't care!!

Now I can't remember what everyone said, my brain is tired from my workout....Drkelli hang in there.

Judy are you doing okay?

nomless thinking about you!

MickD, my trail is so buggy...it's humid all the time here, even if it's cooler out it's so damp.  I'm clammy  Haha

Laura and Lucy where are you??

@jeanlake good job, keep with us!!!

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Happy Sunday and I see I am following myself here...Where ya all at?

Rest day today, sometimes rest days are every bit as important as workout day.  I did TG 7 days in a row so I'm happy to have a day off.

Tomorrow I babysit my 2 year old granddaughter so she's a workout too, just a different kind of workout.

Made 2 blueberry pies today.   1 for dad and 1 for us...strudel topping on both.

Grilling burgers for dinner and it's thundering...

Hoping you are all well and moving along ....

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Hi Everyone!

Had a wonderful birthday weekend with my DD and son-in-law.  We went out of town for overnight and had such a good time.  Home now to relax and enjoy the rest of my birthday day.  My kitty isn't too happy with me tho for being gone overnight but he had someone come in twice to feed him so he really can't complain but oh boy is he!  LOL

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Hi everyone!

This week is going to be busy again.  I've decided to go out to the whiny plant manager's plant tomorrow (I think he works from home on Tuesdays so I won't have to see him), so no workout from Tuesday through Thursday because I'm traveling.

I had a stupid accident yesterday.  I was moving around a bunch of really heavy furniture (I didn't remember it being so heavy).  My  mom wanted my big book case moved out of the living room to upstairs, because it would "open it up so much".  So as I was moving an end table to the side of the bed as a night stand, I yanked it forward right into my big toe.  I'm glad I had sneakers on because it would have been so much worse.  I can't actually tell if I got the nail bed or if I jammed the toenail badly, but it looks like there is a huge bruise at the base of the nail, and I'm sure that I will eventually lose the nail.  I'll get a look at it Friday when I get a pedicure.  To say it hurts is definitely an understatement.  I couldn't even stand the weight of a sheet on it last night.  The big book case probably weighs close to 100 pounds, but I got that sucker dragged upstairs and into place and it is not moving again.  My shoulder hurts today too.

My boss is out of the office for 2 weeks evidently at a legal procedure in California.  I guess I may not see him until September because I'm gone the last week of August and 2 days (working from home while the flooring is installed) in September.

Hope you all have a great day!

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

@DrKelli OUCH!!  Now that sounds like it hurt big time!

This morning I did a 30 Leslie Sansone DVD.  Will try and get back into the swing of things this week.  One day at a time.

Skies are a bit smokey here by the Bay and we're expecting a bit of a warm up mid-week.  So when it gets warm by the Bay, I know it gets hot inland and farther up north.  Feel for the firefighters and those effected by the fires.

Hope everyone is doing ok and having a good Monday!  Wish Laura and Lucy would check in.

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Happy Monday, I had my granddaughter for a while today, she's a "trip"....but now she's gone and I dragged my TG back to the living room and felt like bagging it but I didn't.   Did my own arm routine of Pyramiding down from 10, with back rows, biceps, arm sweeps and tricep kick back.  Ended with 50 ab crunch using the attachment that came with my TG, and then  pyramiding down from 10 on oblique crunches, 10 Left side 10 Right, 9 and so forth.  My arms are cooked as well as my abs.   22 minutes only and I got the bang for my buck

DrKelli that sounds so painful, wow and how the heck to you drag a bookcase that weighs 100 pounds upstairs?   I hope your shoulder is okay, as I know they take long to heal, still can't do chin ups or pull ups on my TG because of my right rotator.

Judy those fires are so terrible, I feel bad for those poor people.  I hope your Birhtday was great, and it continues into Birthday Week!   Kitty was mad at you for leaving  hahaha.

Nomless please check in, thinking of you!

I walked Logan on the trail after my GD left and it's so humid, the ground is still wet and it's afternoon!

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Good Morning!   This morning I did a 30 minute Leslie Sansone workout.

My plantar fascititis is killng me!  Think it was @DrKelli or maybe @MickD that mentioned inserts from Amazon that worked really well for them.  Of course, I told myself I wouldn't forget the name and would write it down and, of course, I forgot the name.  LOL  Would someone mind letting me know the name of the inserts?  I have some now but think it might be time for some new ones.  Something has got to help soon.......

Otherwise, day is fine.  A cool-ish, gray, smokey, hazy day by the Bay.  The fires are still raging up north of me and the smoke comes down here.  Is not good for my allergies.

Hope everyone else is doing ok.
