Hi @bopper,

This long lasting monthly thread has helped more people than you can imagine. There are so many that need inspiration, at specific times, to help them when they need it the most. While I seem to always be able to find an inner inspiration, I know I am in a very small minority of those that truly want to succeed in reaching and maintaining their goals.

Your monthly threads have helped many achieve just that, and I want to personally say, thank you my friend,

Hi John, so happy to see your post.   Thank you so much, I feel so good about being able to help people feel better about theirselves.   It's the little things that mean the world to people.  I appreciate your friendship and encouragment also and your knowledge of health is also very helpful to many people.  We both have been here a long time, the best to you and your wife and come around anytime and say "hey".....  Blessings and thank you again!!!

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Good morning everyone!   The beginning of another new month!  I’m sure I’m not the only one wondering where July went, lol.

This is my runaround day so I might not get a workout in. My priority today is a WW weigh in since I won’t be here Sunday to do my monthly weigh in.  And then a pedicure.  Maybe I’ll do a mini workout this afternoon when I come back.

I hope all of you that had physical issues are better.  I am, thank goodness.  Have a great day!

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Happy August 1st everyone, it's cooler today and expecting some rain which we really need but it's sunny at the moment.  I ran around this morning too foxxie, grocery day.  I'm making spaghetti for dad today.  He needs to eat more.  He had a dr. appt. yesterday and he's in good shape other than he's too thin.  Very blessed he's doing so well at 90.

I have about 12 quarts of blueberries thus far in the freezer that hubby is picking for me.  I will be well stocked for winter which makes me very happy.

Will walk Logan today on the trail and use my TG, right now though I'm just having another cup of coffee and relaxing.

Have a great day everyone!

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Hi all, a quick note before I rush off to yoga!  Still super busy at work--like I may have to take work home for the first time in my life busy!!

The good news is that my shoulder doesn't hurt any more than it did yesterday.  The bad news is that it isn't better either!

I contacted our rec center about SPLASH and the response was "the best we can to is a sub position right now". That's okay with me, but if I expected a certain class format and then someone (me) showed up and taught aqua dance, I don't know if I would be very happy about it.  We'll see what happens.  They wanted me to come do a demo at 8 in the morning at one of their classes and I said--I work downtown.  Showing up at 8 am for 20 minutes is not going to be possible.  insert eyeroll here.

Sure would like our missing people to check in with us so we know they are okay!!

@JudyL So happy that your eye is doing great!

No run for me today.  Exhausted.

Rex came through surgery fine.  He has clean teeth and 3 were removed.....poor guy.  The vet thinks the growth on his elbow that was removed is cancerous.  We'll get results in 3 to 5 days.

I spent the night on the floor next to him, but then he went upstairs to be near my son.  He had an upset stomach at 4:30 .......not too bad.  I gave him pain pills after that.  He's such a good boy.

@MickD how old is your dog Rex?

Today was another day of me not doing a workout, however, as I went back to bed after feeding Montague, (that cat will not let me sleep in), I kept telling myself "get up and do something, anything" so I know the motivation is returning, albeit slowly.  HAHA

Hope everyone has a good day!

@JudyL we adopted him about 10 years ago from a shelter ....think he's gonna be 14 this fall.

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Good morning everyone.  Well, I'm thanking God this morning that I've been blessed with another year on this beautiful Earth with decent health and strength.  Most days, I think I still have all of my faculties, too, lol.  I'm ok for 71.

@Helen Bach, until you can actually walk again, do chair exercises using your arms.  And if you can move your legs when sitting, that would count.  I wish Fitbit wouldn't call it 'steps' because it's movements that out towards health.  Although I do workouts in the normal way, I do arm exercising while watching tv.

@MickD, Rex is having a horrible time!  Hopefully, he gets better each day.  @JudyL, maybe Rex is your dog....sorry, I can't remember, lol.  (Did I just say that I still have my faculties?  Lol). But I hope your family illness is better.

Hope youre better, too, @DrKelli.  And you are so right....nobody likes a sub to come in and do a completely unexpected routine.  That's a big complaint by many.

@bopper, you really know how to make the most out of your day, lol.

Zumba this morning and maybe some walking.

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Good Morning, well it's another fall like day here, raining and 55.  Oh well....it's better than 90 which we could reach over the weekend and they said very muggy.  Oh joy!!

I just finished 40 minutes doing the Cardio free challenge workout by Rosalie Brown on my TG.  Since I moved it up into the living room I am so much more consistent.  I think it's because I can watch the workouts on my regular TV using my Roku.   I can't do that in my basement.  But I really don't like it in here.  My living room is very small and when you add in furniture it's smack in the middle.  If I know someone is coming over I'll have to close it and drag it to the bedroom, thats a royal pain too.

MickD poor Rex, I would do exactly as you, I'd be sleeping with him too.  How is he today?

Foxxie I am the same way.  First thing in the morning I go out to the deck and thank God for another day and all my blessings, then I get my coffee and read my devotionals.

Judy are you able to walk today.   How is the wrist doing.

DrKelli what did you do to your shoulder.  As I've said my right is funky, its the rotator cuff but not bad enough to have anything done but it is hindering my shoulder work and I am babying it as I know it can get worse if I don't.  Oh well....

Nomless how are you doing, thinking about you.  Are you still watching ANW?  I've been watching it.

Laura where are you, we miss you!

Lucy how is everything going...

Waving to everyone!
