Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

@bopper, just looked in to see if there was an update!  The medication is going to be tough for awhile until it becomes habit.  I'm so glad that surgery was successful, it will take awhile to get back to feeling good!  Continued prayers for you and yours.

@Iluvlucy, we haven't hear from you for awhile.  Continued prayers for you and yours as well.

I missed my workout yesterday, but got plenty of work out practicing LaBlast yesterday when I got home. Today is small group, which I enjoy.

It's been nice and cool here the last two days and I tell you--I sleep like a rock when it is cool.

Hope you all have a good day!

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Bopper, It's so great that DH is home! You both will be busy figuring out meds and food, etc., but you both can do this. I'm so happy for you. Hugs and prayers as always.

Foxxie, you're doing great with WW.  Keep it up, and don't sweat the occasional going off program.

DrKelli, I agree, sleeping in cool air is the best! Keep having fun with Zumba and LeBlast. You'll do a great job. Wish I could see you teaching your class. We're proud of you!

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Good morning everyone.  Yeah, @nomless, I decided that WW can't control everyday of my life.  When you're being sociable you have to be flexible with your eating.  Just don't eat that way everyday.

@bopper, glad your hubby is home and on the mend.  Thank good you're not working and can be home to help him.  When my hubby had radical prostate surgery, he was in the hospital for five days, too.  Although I only took his surgery day off, I was at the hospital every morning and stayed with him for about an hour and a half before going to work.  Then drove directly there every evening for about two hours after work.  I was exhausted.  Luckily the hospital was only about 15 minutes away.  So I know that you are just as tired as your husband.  Try and rest at every opportunity.

I haven't decided if I'm gonna work out today or not.  Probably not, lol.

Have a great day everybody.

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Hi, all, happy Wedensday.

Remember when I was looking for the PiYo dvds that I lost....and didn't even remember buying? Well, this morning I found them, yay. They were nearly in plain sight, I have no idea how I overlooked them when I searched for them before. I'm glad I found them! Mystery solved.

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

@nomless-LOL about the PIYO dvds.  I've driven myself crazy looking for things that are right in front of my face!

I've been practicing my LaBlast and trying to learn some new songs for Zumba, so I'm getting 2 workouts a day in.  Think maybe my gut will go away?  LOL!

Have a great day, all!

@bopper Yay your hubby is home!  I bet you guys have lived a lifetime in the past week!

@nomless I'm half blind sometimes too!  I can't tell ya how many times I overlook things...accidentally by decaf coffee.....look all over for my readers and they're on my head!

Have a great Wednesday!

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Personally, ladies, when I can't find something and than, poof, there it is.....I think some little gremlins hide it from me and then put it back just to frustrate me, lol.  No kids to blame.

My first granddaughter was born Saturday (after four grandsons and one great grandson) and she is the cutest thing.  At four days old they sent me a picture of her smiling and I couldn't believe it.  My son sent me a video of her just after the birth while the nurses were cleaning her up.  He's talking to her and she's holding his finger.  Wow, the things they do now to include the family.  Almost like being there.  My DIL had a C section but my son was still included.  He stood at the head of the table and mom was draped in a way that he didn't see the surgery.  Now the real work begins.  Last night, my son called to say she only sleeps soundly when she is held so they aren't sleeping much either.  He's on maternity leave for a week but he's concerned about being a zombie next week.  I told him that she's learning a new environment and hopefully she will acclimate soon.

I hope everyone here is doing well today, as am I.  I'm so happy that my angelic, albeit crying, granddaughter is healthy.  Continued progress for @bopper and @Iluvlucy's family.

Walking for me today.  Enjoy your day.

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Foxxie, congratulations on ypur granddaughter! How exciting.

I'm still SMH about the DVDs turning up. Yes, Foxxie, it had to be gremlins that hid them before. They were in a stack of DVDs under the TV. That's where I expected them to be and that's the first place I looked when I searched before. I went through them all twice, actually, and PiYo wasn't there then. When I looked yesterday, there it was, second from the top! How could I have missed it before??? Why did I decide to look again yesterday? Weird, lol.

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

@Mmsfoxxie, congratulations on the new granddaughter!

Easy day for me today--just Zumba (with some LaBlast practice tonight)  I need to start walking again too (more than just the half mile every day with my dogs).  I just can't bring myself to do it when it is so hot.  We've actually had some cooler weather which made for great sleeping.  Neither Lexi (jack russell) or I wanted to get up the last couple of days.

My mom is coming next week for 3 weeks and I'm excited to see her--I haven't seen her since March when we went on a cruise.
