@nomless, I was going to bump it up, too.  Great minds think alike.

Good morning everyone.  I hope everyone has good weather today as I will.  A great day to be outside.

@bopper and @Iluvlucy we hope things are improving for you.

August is here already!  The older I get, the faster the time goes, lol.  I'm trying not to think of winter.  Brrrr!

Body &sculpt, Flexibility and Zumba for me today if all goes well.

Have a great day!

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Hi everyone...thanks for prayers.  Just wanted to give you all a quick update on Bopper and MrBopper...

His surgery is on Thursday and he needs 4 bypasses. He is doing well and just resting(bed-rest) while waiting and preparing, albeit a tad anxious to get it over with..and get out of the hospital bed.

Their one son couldn't make it home but did a bunch of research for them regarding his surgeon and sounds like he has a really good one so they are comforted by that.  It will be hard on him(son) not being there for it and would have been nice for bopper to have both of her boys there with her, but they know he'll be there in spirit.

They are doing as well as can be expected, and are thankful he had a warning because the blockage is quite extensive...they realize they could have been in a different situation and feel blessed they found out now.

They have a lot of family there so aren't alone. They do appreciate everyone's prayers and ask for continued prayers for the surgery on Thursday and the long recovery ahead of them. Even though there is a 98% success rate with this surgery.

And Logan is out of sorts so don't forget him...lol!  Anyway, I know she's very grateful for all your prayers and words of encouragement.  She'll be back as soon as she can...lots to take in right now.

Things are same here...DS's doctor better get back to him today with Plan B or I may blow my stack. The specialist we really liked left the practice...not so happy with new one.

Hope everyone else is having a great week...you guys rock!  I'll tell her she has a ton of support here...it really is a comfort.

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Lucy, thanks for updating us about Bopper's DH. What along week this will be for them. Waiting is so Difficult.

Prayers continue for your D'S, as well. It's unfortunate the doctor he liked a lot is gone.

Both families will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Thanks for the update on the Boppers @Iluvlucy.  They will be in the prayer box along with your son.  There is too much going on for many of us right now!

So I will go off topic a bit today too!  Back in the late 90s, I was a field manager for a company and my group did a lot of safety compliance.  There was a young guy who worked for me at that time.  Fast forward 10 years from that point, I get a call out of the blue from him--he was now single and just wanted to catch up.  A couple of years ago, he was at a conference in Denver and stayed with me for the weekend.  We did some fun things--bowling and went to a cabaret show downtown.  I actually really liked the guy back when he worked for me, but now he seems really kind of bitter about life and he seems pretty materialistic--and not in a good way.  Last week he calls and says he wants to come to Colorado for a week and hang out with me.  I told him that my August is pretty booked up and my mom will be here until September 9, but if he wanted to come the week of 9/11, I was going to be home then.  I also told him I didn't have extra vacation and that he would have to entertain himself for most of the week and he got kind of testy with me.

The more I think about it, the more I'm inclined to be busy--until 2020 or so.  I wouldn't impose on my BEST friend for more than a week--a few days at most and I certainly wouldn't expect anyone to take time off to "hang out" with me!  Sorry--I just had to vent!

Just doing my usual small group workout today.  I'll be out at a plant tomorrow--it is a 2 hour drive there and 2 hours back, so most of my day will be spent in the car--ugh.  And not at all good for my back!

Have a good day everyone!
