Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Did Pilates and the rebounder.

@bopper - no trail running yet.  It has been too hot still.  My chiro suggested no hills, no trail, no sand....just flat surfaces.  So, I'm sticking to it right now.....I miss the wildlife.....rabbits, coyotes, road runners....not the snakes...saw a mountain lion once...

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Q's forums are goofy today.  It's too slow to display new posts, but logging in and posting seem to be ok.  I'll catch up on our group's news later.

Cardio done.  It was hard today.

This morning I went to Target and Kohl's and came out of both with only the things on my list, no extras.  Yea!  One of those things was pink temporary hair color.  I got tired of coloring my hair last year, and I let it go to it's natural grey.  I don't really like it, but oh, well, I really don't want to fool around with coloring it every 3 weeks. I've been toying with the idea of adding a few highlights in a pastel colors. At Target, I found a new product by Garnier that looks easy. I chose pink because it seemed to be the most pastel of the choices. The other colors (blue, red, purple) looked too bright and bold. I don't know yet if I'll be brave enough to give it a try.

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Hi all, I didn't get in a workout today, been doing some unplanned stuff, ( not bad stuff)  Hahha but it was nice.

It's been raining here and foggy so outside stuff is a not today.

It did quit for a bit and I had Logan outside.  I made his kennel boarding reservation for over Labor Day and I am concerned about leaving my baby but I know he'll be fine, it's more me having the problem!  Just have to get past it in order to get through it.

Labor Day, Holy Wha!    Already!

Hoping everyone is doing alright and tomorrow is a new day!

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Morning!  It's starting to become sunny here, was overcast when I got up and very dewy outside.

Just finishing my coffee and had eggs and going to get on the treadmill and TG.

Not real interested in all the Christmas things today, have no room for more and I am scaling down...

Not much going on here so I bid you Farewell.   Have a great day!

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Feel better, Mick,  and have fun at Target.

This morning a friend invited me to lunch. I did a quick workout, went to lunch and now I'm doing laundry.

I'll probably return the hair color I got because reviews are terrible.  Lots of hair damage is reported.  I don'the want to take the risk.   Ohe,  well.

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

I feel like I post the same things here so I am condensing the week.

Did my normal pound, power, and ride classes.  I forgot to change the weight on my bicep track and actually did my normal back in the day.  So excited!  I am back except for the legs track.  I still can't hold the bar on my back.  My shoulder isn't quite there yet but I just use handhelds and between that and Ride, I think my legs are in pretty good shape.

I have tomorrow and Monday off from work and I am not traveling anywhere since I have no money after the summer that I need to forget.  I think I'll definitely take the Pound class tomorrow afternoon and maybe one of the other classes.  I'll have to check the schedule.  I have no idea what they do in the daytime.

I haven't hiked in months since I lost my car so I'll be visiting the park and deer once again.  I've missed that.

And the flipping lawn needs to be cut again so I'll be doing that first thing tomorrow to get it out of the way.

I think I may take myself shopping.  I have never done a staycation before.  At least not in a long, long time.  I desperately need some cardigans for work.  I love the Irish merino sweaters QVC has but I'm not sure how they fit or if my skin can take it despite the claims.  After this last purchase and return, I'm going to stay local and see what I can find.

@nomless  I want to see the hair!

@bopper  I understand!  Leaving my dog was always the worst part of traveling for me.  Smiley Sad

@MickD  I really wish I could log the miles you do.

Enjoy your days off, Laura

I just saw the TSV and decided I could use the clear.   It's sold out with no wait list. Dang!

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Hi Everyone!  Sounds like you all are doing great with your workouts.  Did a short walk and my back and hip did fine.  Think when I return from my trip, I should be good to go to start up again.  This time will go slow and easy - learned my lesson!

Have started getting things ready to go!  Did laundry tonight and have a few errands to run on Saturday and then I'll start packing.  Since I have to work Monday and Tuesday and leave early Wednesday morning, I am going to get everything packed and ready to go on Sunday.  That way on Monday and Tuesday evening after work, I can relax.

Take care!

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

It's Friday!  Been up since 4:30 so got an early start on the day.

Yesterday was one of my best work-outs since joining the gym...flare and all.  I even lifted with the big dogs instead of the women's-only room.  Had a couple of new tracks in Attack class and there are a lot of plyo-squats and lunges, burpees, and jumping-jacks.  Fun times!

It's been a busy week.  After I hit the gym and get some groceries, I need to come home, clean, and mow.  I've been gone every day this week.

I went to TJMaxx after my work-out yesterday and bought a yoga mat.  I'm really going to give it a go, I've been doing some daily and can already feel a difference.  I talked to one of the yoga/pilates instructors yesterday and she told me where to start and what classes to stay away from(I told her I can't handle holding a pose for 5 minutes, I'd be bored out of my mind), so she told me 3 I probably wouldn't care for and a couple that would be good for me, including a strength one that works up a good sweat.

Another $500 at the vet yesterday...ay.  She(Kit, our cat) needs a dental so they did the senior-panel blood-work, should hear today or Monday.

Dh cancelled his trips for Sep since we have so many doctor's appts and two trips.  Works for me!

Glad everyone is doing well.  Have a great day!
