Okay, I could be losing my forum privileges for this but, while I was waiting for the TSV presentation which didn't come before I left work ( I bought it anyway), they showed the Rodeo exercise machine.  I bust out laughing.  It reminded me of Ellen's chair.  Check it out!

@nomless  Pantry clean out is on my list too.  The only thing in my house I haven't gotten to yet.  I'm not looking forward to it but I almost shattered the olive oil yesterday so time to claim more space.

I clicked on the link and watched a few seconds of the video but had to turn it off as I'm at work and didn't want anyone walking by to see it.  I'm not going to make a comment on that - nope, not even going near it. .

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Aside from some arm exercises, this is a bit of a rest day after my double yesterday and I have another one tomorrow morning.  I'm getting serious about toning up my arms and I'm trying to do exercises a couple times during the day to get them to where they need to be.  One routine twice a week in Power class isn't doing the job.  Smiley Sad

Oh my MickD....hope you have hot water soon, that's crazy!

We have a new baby!!!  Only one but the others should be hatching shortly.  I'm so excited...lol!  They're on our front porch so I'm trying not to go out as often as I normally do because it scares momma and she flies off.

Wow...was last night at the Olympics riveting TV or what??!!!  TWENTY-ONE gold medals...that's insane!  DH said he can't keep staying up until after midnight and getting up at 5, these Olympics are pooping him out and he's only watching...lol!  Between Swimming and Gymnastics it was such a good night.  My gf said she bit all her nails off.

Kids come on Saturday, I'm getting excited.  We have lots of things planned....one of them is the FlyZone...like parachuting in a wind-tunnel.  I'm afraid my shirt is going to fly up and I'll give everyone a peep-show...lol.  Maybe I'll need to pin it to my underwear. Smiley Tongue

I did STEP today and really enjoyed it.  I was dripping in sweat and like the ladies in there a lot...very friendly.  97* heat index again...it wasn't too bad when I took Lucy out this morning.  She let a German Shepherd puppy play with her a little bit...she's getting better with other dogs so that's good.  Only took 3.5 years...she's still Alpha though. Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Hi and happy Wednesday.   I got errands done early this morning and came home and did Total Gym upper body and abs, walked the trail with Logan.  We haven't been on the trail in a long long time, it's just too hot to go but today is cooler so we went.

I saw that Rodeo rider, Yee Haw!!!!!!!!!!!!

Judy you got the sheets?  Let us know how you like them.

Laura I am working on the arms too amongst the "whole body"  Hahha  Sons wedding in November and I would like nice toned arms.  They aren't bad but could be better as well as my entire body!   Like that's gonna happen  Smiley Happy

Nomless did you get that exercise chair with the bands yet.  I may have missed your post.  I think I missed posting a day or 2.

We are so in need of rain here, very very dry.  High fire danger.

Iluvlucy I missed the games last night, but have been watching a lot of it.  So cool for our good old USA.. Proud moments for sure!  Glad Lucy is getting a little more tolerant of other dogs, Logan well ..............  Not so much!

Enjoy your day everyone

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

@Iluvlucy  I love Step!  My gym had it and then changed it to something called Blast which was basically boot camp around a step so I stoppped going and so did everyone else.  Now it's relegated to daytime and one Saturday class only.   Smiley Sad

@bopper  I got the sheets.  I was sorely tempted to get another set since it was such a great price but I figured I'd hold off and see if I like these.  They sound like they are textured and the hosts said they were so we'll see.  I'm itching to pull out my velvet sheets from last year but that will still be a few months I know.

Yee Haw!!  LOL!  That has made my day now for two days in a row.  I would think it would be fun without the machine and just a guy but I guess you can't sell that on tv legally.  Yes, Judy, I went there.  Smiley Wink  It's been a long day at work.  Smiley Happy

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Laura! I came back to tell you(I keep forgetting!) I got the sheets too! I hope they're fabulous!! Yep, I love a good STEP class without a bunch of dancing and other stuff. This one was pretty good...almost a complete hour of stepping and jumping.

Bopper...haha...I hope Logan isn't too anti-social in the doggie hotel! Lucy still has "issues"...I guess now would be a good time to admit that some people cross the road with their dogs when they see her coming!😬😂

I did a long cardio session today.

I enjoyed the Olympics last night, too. Phelps continues to be a phenom. I like Lochte's grey hair. I was happy to see Gabby smile and interact with the others after her event was over. Maybe what I perceived as sadness was just focus on what she had to do in the competition.

My chair was shown as being at the shipping facility on Monday, but now it says that it has not arrived at the facility yet and delivery will be delayed.  I don't know where it is or when it will get here. Oh, well, there's  nothing I can do about it.

I hope you like your new sheets!  BTW, I do like Isaac'sheets gingham percale sheets. They're crisp and smooth. Very nice for summer.

Lucy, your weekend sounds fun, especially the Fly thing. Glad the kids can come for a visit.

Re: Welcome to the August Exercise Thread

Short Ride class and Power this morning

I think I am almost back up to my normal weight for biceps so I may try that out next week.  We'll see.  Smiley Happy

Gotta get the arms in shape!!

So I was reading a blog yesterday and I was devestated to find out that my honey and fruit jam are simple carbs just like regular sugar.   Not that I eat them every day or even often but I thought switching to honey from maple syrup for my once in a while French toast was a good thing.  Apparently not.  And my new stir fry recipe that I thought was so healthy, I am going to grab another tissue now....  Smiley Sad

Laura, I agree....simple carbs are everywhere, and unfortunately,  they are the ones I like. A LOT.  Sigh.

Yay...my chair gym is out for delivery.  Fingers crossed this is a winner.
