Re: Welcome to The October Exercise Thread

Came home and did TG. Then removed the navy polish. Sigh. It looked so pretty on the hand model--- which I'm not!

Re: Welcome to The October Exercise Thread

Morning, dreary, foggy, and wet here but yes nomless at least it isn't white...heard on Halloween though it could be!!

Today I did Crunch Candlelight Yoga...about 40 minutes of quiet stretching..it was nice...

Nomless I had short stubby nails for a long time, nail biter but I have quit biting my nails and grew them finally but they are thin. Anyway I also went on a polish binge since I had nails. I ended up having to trim them because they are too sharp but I agree the darker colors didn't look good on my nails either and now I am staying with blush and taupe type of colors. A couple of mine broke pretty short though but it's a start anyways.

Hoping I can get to the trail today. Will need boots though because of all the standing water on the trail.

Have a good day everyone!

Re: Welcome to The October Exercise Thread

Bopper, I went to Target at lunch today and got a set of Sonia Kashuk 15-mini polishes for $10. It's probably not up to the quality of OPI and others, but it will be a great way to try a variety of colors and see which color families I like best. Can't beat the price!

Re: Welcome to The October Exercise Thread

Hi, all!! Let's see....... Yesterday I got done with work a little early, so I went to the store, walked the dogs, did the Pilates machine for about 30 minutes, washed the sheets and another load of laundry, cooked dinner, ran to the drugstore, did 15 minutes on the rebounder, and worked in the yard for 30-45minutes (weeding, cutting back my bushes, and trimming some small trees). Needless to say, I slept well, and didn't wake up til 7:15! I thought it was 4 or 5 when my alarm went off -- I definitely could've slept longer! Today I got done a tad early, so I walked the pups and cleaned out & reorganized the garage, and replaced several lights that had gone out outside and in the garage. I was tired of the dark. Smiley Wink Hubby and I went for a walk after, and we just had leftovers for dinner. I made some really yummy burritos last night with roasted veggies, black beans and a little cheese & guacamole, so we just had them again tonight. Nomless, I keep my nails short (doing about 90% better on not biting -- bopper, but I pick at my cuticles, instead! Grrrrrrr), and dark colors look weird on me, too. I can do a cranberry red, but navy or black look ridiculous. I'm fair, so I don't know, but it's not working for me. I love Merino Cool and Lady Like by Essie. Also, Chinchilly. I usually just do a pale, sheer pink (2-3 coats) bc it looks neat and professional. Speaking of, I have a gift card for a mani/pedi I got a few months ago, so I decided to cash it in this weekend. I'm going out of town to help a friend pack for a move in a couple of days, so I figured I'd need it after that. Lol! I LOVE the way Shellac/Gel nails look, but my nails are completely destroyed when I take them off. It doesn't do that for lots of people, but I don't have thick nails, so it tears them up. Patty, how is little Lucy recovering? Still a wild child?? Smiley Wink Ok, I need to shower up. You all have a nice night!

Re: Welcome to The October Exercise Thread

Future, thanks for the notes about nail colors you like. I'll check 'em out.

ETA: I like those colors, Future. I love gray tones and even the first two colors are muted with gray tones. Nice.

Re: Welcome to The October Exercise Thread

Hey all, grocery day today and Chiropractor...then took a trail walk with both my boys,,,, Smile

nomless great deal on the polishes at Target....I pick up 1 now and again at Walmart..I have on a taupe color now.

FUTURE you had a very good day yesterday and got lots done! I pick at my cuticles too....

Pppmint hoping Lucy is behaving herself....{#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}How is everything going with DH and DS? Thinking of them often .

Supposed to snow on Halloween here...poor kids....I think many will go to the school parties..which is safer than being on the streets though...

Found some Pumpkin Spice Tea at Walmart and it's so good! Bigelow makes it...trying to do more tea and less coffee and cutting down on caffeine, not that I am a big coffee drinker but everything else like "chocolate" {#emotions_dlg.crying}

Bought some Sketcher GoWalk boots and they are the best thing ever, so comfortable for walking outside and all warm and toasty...

Have a good day all!

Re: Welcome to The October Exercise Thread

No workout tonight. I'm too annoyed to concentrate. Future, today I found two of the polishes you mentioned. I love Ladylike in the bottle, but it looks terrible on my nails. It's nearly the same color as my skin, so nails disappear ad look bruised. Chinchilly I'm not sure about. It might be OK if I take time to get used to it. I'll probably see if Ulta will let me return Ladylike. Maybe I need cooler tones....or maybe I'm just not a polish person. Will keep trying.
